Looking for help- body damage from factory

What do you think that is on the lower door corner, corrosion forming underneath the paint? Hard to believe, given the vehicle is new. Or perhaps some contaminant/panel glue that got underneath before applying paint?

I'm afraid to excavate it, but doesn't seem like any sort of corrosion. It LOOKS like an old school rust bubble but it's not. Very porous and you can see the primer through the paint. I also thought maybe a clear coat defect but it's gray inside the little craters, so there's paint missing as well.

You may be right with the glue theory.

How this got out of the factory is beyond me, it was pretty obvious to me so you'd think a final QA Inspector would have caught it.

I also have a very small piece of trash in the clear coat on the drivers side rear quarter panel directly behind the door handle (right in the body line).

First, I am happy to have finally received my Bronco as I know many are still waiting. I originally reserved on July 14th, 2020 and just picked it up 2 days ago.

When I picked it up, I immediately noticed that the driver side quarter panel had an outward bend in it and the driver door gaps were way off. There are also some really bad paint smudges/chips at the front of driver door as well as a big spot of dirt under paint by the fuel door. Funny thing is, you can see the door gap/bent panel issues in my assembly line picture (the gap is obvious, the bend can be seen when you zoom in on the area). I showed the dealership who had missed all of it (it had just come in an hour or so before I arrived to get it). They said they would document it and get with Ford on how it would be handled. My concern is that they will farm it out to a body shop since this particular dealership does not have their own and I'm not sure how difficult it would be to try to match this particular paint.

Best case scenario for me would be to take it to the body shop of my choice to have all of the issues corrected and Ford cover the bill. Is that too much to ask?

this is quality control issue, and your's is not the only one. Ford really needs to start looking in why so many Bronco's are leaving the Factory like this.

Damaged and repaired at the factory? If they didn't catch it on delivery it's going to be on them unless they can do digital imaging and get Ford to approve as a defect. The repair shouldn't be a problem done by a competent body shop, the hang up at this point is who pays the bill, Ford or the dealer.

Yea, don't mess with it at all. Take back to the dealer and have them get approval from Ford to repair. This is a factory paint defect and if you mess with it and they have to take pics for digital imaging, they will deny.

Oh man, I feel you. I got some paint bubbles above the A pillar where the front roof sits and a weird circular (looks like a heat gun damage) on the back of the driver leather seat.

Ford must've just had some vehicles rushed out.

So I brought my Bronco to a neighboring Ford dealership that has a Ford certified body shop and the manager went over everything. He seemed genuinely surprised that this made it out of the factory like that. He also noticed the tailgate on the passenger side by the hinges was lighter than the driver side (I think he used the word "translucent", and could almost see the metal through the lighter coat in that area). He also couldn't believe how bad the body lines/door gaps were. He said it would take about 2 weeks to get everything corrected and took pictures to submit to Ford for approval. Hopefully it's a quick approval process and I can get this taken care of.

Without going through all the comments. I can tell you with almost all certainty is that the factory warranty will cover it. It's obvious it was painted after that happened; so it happened at the factory and not owner fault. I also had slag on my Ranger's door panel that was painted over and the dealer said it would be covered uner warranty. Your issue is no different.

some of these "bubbles" look like seam filler to me. My JLUR had a lot of these types of boogers, they were always on the interior facing side of panels, but they were still super ugly.
