Ford Bronco Long stitch on steering wheel IMG_8873

There is a long stitch on my steering wheel on my brand new Badlands with Lux package. It pretty small but kind of annoying because its right where I put my hand and I know I'm going to constantly pick at it. Any thoughts on how I should handle it? I don't want to clip it cause I don't want it to unravel. Should I tell dealer or try to tuck it in that gap?

A tiny dab of superglue gel will keep it from unraveling further, apply and smooth down

Or get a new one under warrantee

Hard to believe they couldn’t do something that doesn’t require a brand new wheel. It’s like government cost of thousands for a toilet 🚽 seat.

Cut it off with nail clippers. It’s just a tag not cut off when made in China. If it unravels in 12,000 miles, get a new one under warranty.

I mean yea but also I don’t think I’m being unreasonable asking for opinions on how others would fix it. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with your point that a new vehicle should be held to a certain standard. However, vehicles nowadays aren't build perfectly - I don't care which manufacturer it is.

If it was a major flaw, I'd 100% go back and ask for it to be repaired/replaced under warranty. For example, some members have reported the piece over the horn has cracked. That should be replaced for sure.

Also, something that's an easy fix I would just take care of myself. Keeps a part out of the landfill, saves you time and effort and gets results very quickly vs. waiting for parts to arrive or dealerships to have availability to swap it out.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree and I wouldn’t want to replace the steering wheel because yes that’s not an efficient solution. But I was also afraid if I cut it the whole thing might unravel.
