I have seem other pictures on here of countless posts about the plastic horn/air bug cover having cracks/marring lines. I have them too. 2023 Wildtrack with about 5,600 miles on it. I definitely didnt have these marks when I bought it and I've never even really used the horn. I brought this up to my dealer when I had it in for a transfer case issue. The shop came back with that it is part of the molding. That is simply not true. It would have always been there if that was the case. I guess I can live with it, but a 60k plus vehicle shouldnt have this cheap of a horn cover IMO.

Sorry just ranting.

So, they're not willing to replace it? That's crap... Either go to a different dealership to warranty it, or DM @Ford Motor Company your VIN and pertinent life details, and they'll "help" you... Or so I'm told.

Post pics so we can compare. Manufacturers will allow up to a certain % for blemishes as normal. And dont forget your "60k vehicle"s airbag is the same one that comes in the 30k base.. and every other ford for that matter.

I had the same thing with my 2021 Badlands. I took it to my dealer, and also brought print-out of posts from this forum that had photos of similar defects, along with the comments how other dealers had replaced them. My dealer then replaced it under warranty after reaching out to Ford. So, maybe try another dealer, but come armed with other people's experiences.

My dealer refused to warranty mine initially until I got customer service involved. Stay persistent.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Lol basically Ford stepped in and did nothing. They talked to the service advisor and Ford agrees "its the molding." Not sure how marks that appear over time are "a part of the molding." But whatever.

From the voicemail apparently it has to be all the way cracked to do anything.

Edit: just spoke with someone else and she basically said the dealership has ultimate say in this matter unless it becomes a nationwide recall. Ford will not assist in any way.

Also I don't want to hear dont worry about dont worry about it, its an offroad vehicle. My vehicle currently cant be put into 4WD until they order a part to replace faulty issues in the transfer case. So yeah, beyond upset at this whole ordeal

I too have the same thing on my 23 Badlands. I noticed it the day after I brought it home. The center cap on the steering wheel is slightly cracked. I didnt think think the dealer would do anything plus I had to drive 3 hrs to avoid ADMs so I never took it in.
