people who really like and want the bronco, but it may be getting close to their max budget, so they want an off-road capable vehicle that they can afford, and are willing to make sacrifices in order to have one

Because I can easily wire a $7 switch myself...

- Old tightwad curmudgeons?
I used all mine on my Raptor...they make life easy and are a factory Finnish for 32 a switch, relay and no finding a way through the firewall

Base base because with some meatier tires it will handle all of my intended off-road uses without spending way more on things I don't really want or need. I also think it's the best looking trim and I love the steelies.

Base base was never on the table for me.

1895 for a proven and well supported motor/trans was a no brained to me.

and no rear locker....BB is 5k for tinted windows to get the locker, might as well squatch the base for about the same...38k

but the BD I could get the 2.7, mid package, locker and MGV at 42k...or squatch for 46k..

maybe I do need the extra month to figure this out lol
I'm very similar to you, Base to me, was Base plus Auto and V6, and Aux. If I go up, it will be BD, without Squatch. For ME, that's the sweet spot of value and versatility.

I think the price and from Ford is fine, but I keep going back to the fact, I have lots of gadgets these days, and I guess I am getting old, because I utilize about 1/10 of their capability, and likely will with the above the base Bronco gadgets also.

Basesquatch cuz it's a very cheap platform to build a cool looking vehicle. Better gearing and stronger front axles suffice for me since I plan on going with a larger wheel/tire setup and offfroading isn't my jam. Then throw a wrap on it b/c it would irk me knowing thousands of other owners are driving the exact same car as me.

This is why I keep looking at base. I love this, for me, I think its cooler than big wheels and tires, but that's purely my own preference, not a better or worse things.

This was the reason I wanted to go base base. Hell I won’t even add AUX switches if I ended up in a base just so I can know I have the basiest base model lol I think some will buy base because of the price and will give them the most basic bronco feeling without all the added stuff the higher models give you. I don’t think rental companies will be buying Broncos in big numbers.

A locker option on the base would put a LOT of people in the base. Maybe even me. Hell an available limited slip diff would change alot of people's orders. I've been plenty of places with limited slip, but open diffs are a non starter. Base might appeal to Beach Bronco crowd.

Same here I could take or leave the gadgets, I’ve been driving open diffs for 30 years on varied 4x4’s but when I got my Raptor, I realized what I was missing, I’m not going back to open diffs and prefer more ground clearance so I see Sasquatch in my future...base or BD - time will tell

Or someone who can't justify $5k+ for rims and grill he doesn't like just for the option of heated seats in a interior color combo I don't like. That's an awful lot of aftermarket option money.

edit: Have not ruled out Mansquatch though.

If they offered a rear locker in the base, I would reconsider squatch...

So, that's my dilemma, a baseSquatch is same price as BB with lockers. Hate the MT tires and rims, but hate spending the extra $5k just to be able to buy a locker. A base with lockers gives me exactly what I need without paying for stuff I don't want. And if that makes me a cheapskate, I'll be proud to get what I want, with $5k in my pocket.

I was contemplating a base no option 4door with manual, but on the B&P it does not exist?

I am hoping you can get a base 4door manual?

Sure, if you're going to use several no doubt worth the money, simplicity and finished look. I probably will only add a set of aux lights, so for one switch, tap into the under hood fuse box, there's always an easy way through the firewall and I'm good to go.

If I go manual (I know this should be the easiest decision, but it's not): Base Base, the 4.46 gears would be great and easy to upsize to 32's/33's

If I go auto: I don't know, the auto is $1500 and some tires would be $1500, so for $3K I might as well Squatch and get all the other good stuff for a couple thousand more.
