I’m sorry if it came off as rude, that wasn’t my intention. I’m not sure why you’re so angry or why you would reply in the way you did. Why would you assume I was a liberal, anyway? 😂
And no offense, but your response was quite obviously not helpful at all. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
I hope you have a great holiday season.

I’d beg to differ. This is a beautiful state full of mostly nice people.
Happy holidays.

I worked for 30 years with a really nice guy who was born and raised in Springfield VT in the 1950-60s. Have made a few visits there in the 90's - 2020's.....

The issue is finally resolved, and not to sound like a broken record but mad thanks to @flip for his help in solving this issue.
The key fob antenna behind the panel in the left rear cargo area (panel was removed to install a trailer towing harness) was unplugged. The dealer basically just kept re-initializing the keys over three visits and told me it was good. This last time, I took the service manager out to the truck and put my key fob in my pocket, where it failed to be recognized. I said, “nope, it’s still f’cked“ and then took him to the rear of the Bronco after locking it to show him that my key fob would not unlock the rear tailgate. I told him again, not too tactfully this time, to pull it back in and check the antenna harness behind the panel where they worked on the wiring. He said ok and came back about 20 minutes later and told me I was right, the harness was unplugged. The issue is resolved and everything works fine now.
So if you have a trailer towing harness installed and your keys aren’t recognized afterward, then this is probably going to be your fix.
Thanks again for everyone’s help and responses, especially @flip .
This happened to me as well. I had the tow package installed from new and didn’t know anything different from what works or doesn’t work. Within a day or two of ownership I realized the rear hatch didn’t recognize my fob and wouldn’t unlock. I ended up reading post after post on here looking for answers and eventually found it. Took it back to the dealer and showed them a photo of the harness and said they forgot to plug it in. 20 minutes later and they acknowledged they had forgotten the harness and I was back on the road. The problem is the module is attached to the back side of the panel in the cargo area and when removing the panel you must remove that harness to gain access. Easy to miss I supppose when reinstalling.
