Frankly, the proper Toyota Land Cruiser (now only available in Lexus LX form) is the vehicle I would choose if I needed to drive from the arctic to the tip of South America, with plenty of off road journeys along the way.

I disagree, but only slightly. The lexus hourglass shaped grills have been the ugliest thing on the market for ages

The majority of cars today look like absolute dog shit. I think cars used to be designed by people who were actually into cars. Now I think it's computers and people who drink lattes, wear skinny jeans, and have a man bun.

You obviously are not a Lexus aficionado, and I don't blame you, but the 2003 Lexus did not have the hourglass grill. I was not a Lexus fan either, but the wife wanted an SUV.

I'm not a lexus aficionado for sure, but the pre-hourglass lexus vehicles are nice looking.
In fact I was eyeballing old LS400s over the summer. '97-00 years. They're still cool looking

There are plenty of good looking vehicles, but traditionally the best looking vehicles had something in common: they were designed in Europe, or by people drawing on that influence.

In particular, folks like Pininfarina and Bertone, (esp. Gandini) designed amazingly beautiful vehicles.

And they drank lattes - but only before noon.

I still can't wrap my head around the price tag for the Stoppe edition, how do they justify that price tag for just a different paint scheme than the 2 dr sasquatch.

They took away every other option for a V6 two-door? "Any color as long as it's black."
