It's not a real Bronco because it's a Bronco II. Different chassis, made at the same time as the OG Bronco. The Bronco II was made in 83 to 90. The OG Bronco was made from 66 to 96.

I believe they were built with Ranger underpinnings, which is not a bad foundation. But if I recall, the power trains were less than great and I think they tended to roll over and kill a lot of people, which is not good for brand loyalty or repeat customers. I saw in one of the class action suits back then, a Ford engineer stated in court something to the effect of, "It has a very poor lateral stability index." I'm guessing that was career limiting for him.

Yeah. I honestly liked the Bronco II better than the Big Bronco of it's same day. People think it's an insult to say that a vehicle which was marketed as something other than a Bronco, on a different chassis than a Bronco...is not a Bronco. It's not an insult, it's an indisputable fact.

84-90 Ranger based body on frame, 2 Dr only = Not Real Bronco

Recent Ford Unibodies are extremely tough with outstanding crash protection I would welcome a unibody.
Bronco Sport SAS is an absolute blast to drive fast, too bad there's no open top option and interior is so cheap an 1982 Tercel beats it hands down, for Bronco OBX money.....FAIL.
As long as they can deliver the suspension range then we have our body on frames used as hard core offroader options. Pretty sure they will lose a lot of the open top though unless make B&C brace standard.
Just too many complaints about rattles and squeaks from an expensive vehicle relative to incomes.
