@ksmich to make this work you'd need pins for both the plug and receptacle side of this connection, yes?

@4x4TruckLEDs.com are pins for the factory connectors something y'all carry? Been digging into this to try and figure out the rear fog situation and having trouble determining exactly which pins are correct.
the vehicle side of the harness already contains the neccessary wiring and pins, you would only need to do the bumper side

No we only make pigtails for things we sell. We don't sell connectors. yuo can buy those online at supply houses though. They are usually pennies (20 cents or so for a connector)

I am interested in tapping into the white and blue rear fog wire to use as a trigger to change the color of my front fogs. Does anyone know is there is a way to access the white and blue wire form the engine bay or is the drive sill the only way?

Okay, so just to clarify and consolidate everything, is it correct that if I want to enable rear fog lights in the OEM fashion that I need 3 things;

  1. Fog lamp assembly (p/n M2DZ-15200-A)
  2. Fog lamp switch (various p/n depending on trim/options)
  3. "G" harness (p/n M2DZ-15K868-G)
  4. Rear bumper or bumper cover with fog lamp "cut-out" (p/n ???)
Assuming I have those four things, plus appropriate coding, is it essentially plug and play? Do I just replace the wiring harness for the rear sensors in my bumper with the "G" harness? Is all of the wiring done in the bumper, or do I need to route the harness through the vehicle? Because if it's just a matter of removing the bumper and plugging in a wiring harness I might be game - not so interested in splicing, soldering, etc.

Thanks for any info.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the rear fogs activate with the DRL in forscan? Similar to how you can have the fogs on with the DRLs.

I installed the Mabett Raptor Style lights and have the ambers wired to the rear fog switch. It would be nice to have the ambers as DRL instead of the white.

I am actually going to try and see if I can figure out how to enable the DRL for the rear fogs via the light switch setting, currently it requires turning on the light and selecting the front and rear fog light switch. I noticed I have to have the front before I can enable the rear fog from the light switch.

Ideally during the day, I can just be in DRL mode, and just select rear fog from the light switch instrument panel. I use the rear light switch for chase lights.

This is interesting. I don't have my bronco right now to confirm, but I am pretty sure I can't even activate the rear fogs during the day when I have the DRL on. Might be because I have the front fogs programed to come on with the DRL.

If you figure something out please update me!

I am ready to attempt this Rear Fog addition.
I already have a -CC switch installed and all Forscan changes made.

I am assuming that M2DZ-15200-A is correct for the Lamp Assembly.
That M2DZ-15K868-G is the correct harness to add the RFL to a Lux package Wildtrak.
That M2DZ-17906-DA is the correct bumper shell with the cut out for the lamp.

What is the p/n for the screws that fasten the lamp to the bumper shell?
Is there a p/n for the bumper cover with the RFL cut-out already in it?
Are there any other parts needed to do it right?

Maybe @Ducati1098 can shed some light on the correct part numbers.

Thanks in Advance!

I can’t see a real picture of how it’s mounted on the bumper or if it uses a different bumper, but here is the hardware:

Unless you need every AUX switch for other items, why not use one of those switches? I used AUX 6 for mine (mentally it's the last switch on the panel, so I correlate it to being my "read" lights :ROFLMAO: ).

What are you using to trigger the flash for your chase lights? Part # etc..

Hey there! Looks like you’re ready to tackle a fun wiring project. Using the factory switch and harness for rear fog or chase lights is definitely the cleanest way to go. I get wanting to avoid being the test dummy—let’s see if we can get you pointed in the right direction without too much trial and error!

Here’s What You Need to Know:
  1. Locate the Factory Harness:
    • The factory harness for rear fogs or chase lights is usually tucked somewhere in the rear bumper area or near the tail light harness. It might be covered by some tape or a plastic cover, so keep an eye out for any unused connectors. It should have a couple of unused pins that would match up to your switch harness.
  2. Check the Factory Switch Wiring:
    • If you’ve already got the factory switch, you’re halfway there! Make sure it’s wired into the main harness up front. Sometimes, even if the switch is installed, the wiring for the rear lights might not be connected or active. Use a multimeter to test continuity between the switch and the rear harness to confirm they’re linked.
  3. Test for Power and Ground:
    • Using a multimeter, check the harness connector for power and ground when the switch is activated. You’re looking for a 12V signal when the switch is turned on. If you’re not getting power, it might mean that the wiring isn’t fully active from the factory, or a fuse is missing.
  4. Connecting Rear Fog/Chase Lights:
    • Once you’ve confirmed the harness is active, you can wire up your rear fog or chase lights. If the connector doesn’t match up perfectly, you might have to use spade terminals or a custom harness adapter to connect the lights.
  5. Check Fuses and Relays:
    • Make sure there’s a fuse and relay in the appropriate spots for the rear fog light circuit. Sometimes, even if the wiring and switch are there, the factory might leave out the fuse or relay. Check your owner’s manual or fuse box diagram for the correct slot.
Practical Tips:
  • Use a Test Light or Multimeter:
    • When checking for power, a test light can quickly confirm if you’re getting a signal from the switch to the harness. It’s a quick way to know if the switch and wiring are working correctly before hooking up the lights.
  • Add a Relay (if needed):
    • If the factory harness can’t support the load of your new lights (especially if they’re high-power chase lights), consider adding a relay to the circuit. This will ensure you don’t overload the factory wiring.
  • Follow Factory Wiring Colors:
    • Try to match up with the factory wiring colors (if you can identify them) to keep everything as close to OEM as possible. This makes future troubleshooting easier.
Final Thoughts:
If the harness is already there and you’re getting power when the switch is on, you should be able to wire up the rear lights pretty easily. If not, don’t hesitate to reach out to @flip and @drew707 again—they’ve obviously done some legwork and might have more info on your specific setup.

Good luck with the install, and let us know how it turns out! Would love to see pics of the finished setup!

I am not trying to be mean or anything like that, but I am curious how you did your research? You had to make all this up in your mind. I don't think you even read through the thread! There is so much wrong with this post I don't know where to start, but here we go...

The US version wiring harness has rear fog light wire run al the way to the Left Rear tire area into connector # C424. You would need to either extend the one wire or buy the correct bumper harness (p/n M2DZ-15K868-G) to extend the wire to the mid rear bumper area.

The headlight switch DOES NOT directly provide voltage to any lights. The switch signals the Body Control Module to turn on the current to the various lights.

There are no relays or "missing fuses" in the rear fog circuit. It's all switched using FET transistors. The circuit must be enabled using Forscan software.

It may be best to just delete your original post to avoid confusion.

And don't forget, drew707 got kidnapped by aliens a couple years ago so don't go throwing DMs at his account.
