So you were able to link to the rear fog light sitch/button without the "g" harness or is the mythical blue and white wire in the "g"harness?

Sorry all of these posts are confusing me as to what is and isnt here already.
Short Answer you could.

The blu/wht Wire is in the body harness all the way to the rear DS corner of the vehicle at which point it ends in the connector (C424). you can tap into it there Or you can add the G Harness which extends the BLU/wht wire to the middle of the rear bumper (C436).

So the real thing is where are you picking up the wire. I see three methods:
1: Tap into the body harness at the DS rear Corner (Before C424)
2: Add a terminal to the existing harness/connector (At C424)
3: Add G harness and tap/splice into the bumper Harness (Before C436)

it all Really depends on what level of modification to the vehicles wiring you are willing to do.

Personally I don't like Cutting, Splicing, Tapping the main harness so I added the G Harness and cut into that. that way if anything goes wrong I can reinstall the factory harness or replace the G harness.

I didn't add a harness. I didn't need the rear fog light wire to extend to the rear bumper as the rely I used was installed in the engine bay. I ran a wire from the engine bay through the firewall grommet and down to the driver's side kick panel into the sill plate. Just spliced it into the white/blue wire, taped it up and it was good to go.

Send me the connector.

Just put a note in the package with your user name on here. If we have a harness already made (because we have other harnesses for Fords) we'll send you one free. If I have the connectors in stock (because we also stock misc. connectors) Il'l make you a free pigtail
Any luck with the connector I sent?

I haven’t seen anyone mention the forscan configuration settings for rear fog with factory switch. Anyone done it?

curious to see what options people are choosing for rear-facing lights. the stock rear bumper doesn't seem too conducive to mounting any of the flush-mount LED pods that are out there due to the fact that it's got some curvature to it. I don't want to mount a light (or lights) below the bumper due to not wanting them to drag as I go up an incline or over an obstacle. Haven't seen any reasonably priced bracket options to mount to the spare tire either

Finally got it done - one rear fog light installed. I tapped the blue/white wire inside the rear bumper, and grounded it to a nearby bumper bolt. The fog light is an older model made by PIAA - I used it new on my 2005 Subie then, and it still works great today.

FORSCAN configs were:
BdyCM - Rear Fog Light - Enabled
IPC - Rear Fog Light - Enabled
I had already enabled the fog light switch earlier on when I installed the front fogs.

So now my latest question - is there a way in Forscan to enable rear fog *without* headlights being on?

I know fogs can be run with just the parking lights, but rear fog circuit seems to require headlights on. (I can appreciate *why* but...I want more control. :) )

My rear fog lights work with the switch on Auto. That might work for your needs?

Hmm, if it's like mine, they'll only come on *if* the full headlights are activated in auto. If you're running only DRLs, it's a no-go, and really not what I'd consider a resolution.

I'll have to double check, but I think I tested it in the middle of the day. I'll try to remember tomorrow to test it again.

You were right. Headlights must be on for front or rear fogs to come on.
