I just installed the Injen CAI, but I have a problem with the drivers side pipe. The crankcase hose bib goes straight down and not 90 degrees. I compared pics from Green Machine and Doublejay and the crankcase system is different even both being 2023. Mines is like Doublejay’s.

This installation video shows the tube with the 90 turn (13 mins 51 seconds).

I’m gonna have to wait till Monday to get in touch with Injen since the call center is closed for the weekend. I prefer to not reinstall the stock system to just revert it back again when the correct pipe is sent.

I’m in the middle of my CAI installation - I’m just encountering this as well, looking forward to what Injen says

So I contacted Injen today. Apparently, some went out with the wrong barb (at least that what the person from support said). They're sending me the correct driver's side intake tube and a prepaid label to send back the other one.
I grabbed this screenshot from a YouTube vid that shows the tube with the 90-degree turn:

Man, those look great, wish I could do this in California!
You can do it in Cali. Just have to save all the stock parts so you can swap them back in year 7 when you have to smog.

Well, its been a little over 3 months since install, and I'm having issues.

My A/C has intermittently been blowing straight hot air and I can't figure out why. Took it to the dealership, and they said that the aftermarket CAI is the cause, when the intake is under load (turbos spooling) the car gets an incorrect temp reading making it believe it's overheating and blows hot air to "try and cool down the overheating engine." They said it is due to the fact that the car is tuned to a stock intake, and my only options would be to put the stock intake back on, or have it aftermarket tuned which would void the powertrain warranty.

Has anyone heard of an Aftermarket CAI causing issues like this? It's the first time I've ever heard of anything like this and I'm skeptical to say the least.

Anyone have an update from Injen on the SES fix for 2023 models? Have they just been fabricating the whole test vehicle excuse? They’ve claimed a rolling 1 month timeframe since January… @Injen Technology ??

There was someone who said everything was good, and the update complete. I think it was in the other 2.7 Injen thread.

I had communicated with Lucas at Injen. The fix is available now for 23+ MY 2.7 broncos. So I have ordered and received and installed the intake on my 23 model year. Done 250mi so far no issues, power is great.

Following up. Injen sent me the correct tube for MY 22 that has the barb with a 90 degree bend in it. I had made a temporary fix with hose it but it sometimes caused rough idle probably due to a vacuum leak. I only have 10 miles on the new tube, so I vouch if it corrected the rough idle or if it causes a MIL or not.

Looking to install this set up on my Bronco. Question tho, has anyone who has installed the CAI and charge pipes have a separate warranty claim that Ford denied because of these?
Legally, a manufacturer has to prove a modified part caused a failure, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.
just wondering.
Thanks.

I just bought this to replace my K&N CAI. I received the version on the right of your photos. This is the incorrect one for the 2022 2.7s? I even see a little hole where they insert the metal piece. This seems pretty bad quality.

Welcome to the Injen life! Yes, it is a pain. Lol! Now imagine that you had to take the CAI apart to do the charge pipes.....

In the end, it is worth it. I love the setup. Grats !

Exactly why I did the Intake, charge pipes and Mishomoto intercooler all at the same time :)
