My update was done over the air last week, and yesterday while driving my screen posted up that I needed to lower cabin temperature and the screen was really hot to the touch. My windows were down, top was up and it was 80 degrees. I never had this problem before the update. (Nor did I have an issue with my screen) Anyone else have this happen since the new update?

Nothing here yet. Updated last week, been in the 80s-90s here. But fingers crossed. Maybe try disconnecting the negative cable from the battery let it sit for a bit. See if that works.

Yesterday, I just had the screen tell me to lower the cabin temperature due to touchscreen overheating. I have never seen this before. I did turn on the A/C and the error went away. I haven't received a software update since March 29, 2026. Which version did yours just update to?

The update that was just installed is 26.2.1.6.5.3
Recall 26S09. I plan on having the top off quite a bit this summer, so it’ll be hard to lower those temps outside of staying in the shade

Isn’t the infotainment suffering an over heating issue the reason for the software recall?

I am still on 25.2.1.6.5.2. So I will see what happens when mine updates to the latest version. I live in the desert SW so we won’t have any cool days for awhile!

I think the recall was because it would shutdown when it overheated, which meant there was no backup camera. Looks like their solution was to just nag you to cool it down or it will just cook itself. I wonder how many of them have to cook before they are forced to come up with a real solution....

This popped up for the second time today. 87°F outside, but the cabin was cool with the windows open. What’s weird is that the display on the screen said it was 97°F outside (it wasn’t) just before and after the warning. But, showed the correct temp a few minutes prior.

This is ridiculous - Driving home last night with the top off (it was 62 degrees outside) and the heater warning came on and turned cabin temp down to 79 (which at 65MPH on the freeway feels like AC is on) because the screen was too hot. I have had Bronco since new, 55K miles of total enjoyment and we LOVE the heater because it can keep the front warm even with the top off, I hope they figure out a better solution to this problem

I received my update (SYNC-26.2.1.6.5.3) on May 16th and aside from the occasional Carplay hiccups, I haven't had any issues, and it's been hot here.

However yesterday I had a weird thing happen yesterday. The truck was sitting in the hot 90 degree heat all day. Go to start it and I got the usual "Sirius Updating" message on the screen which typically lasts only a few seconds. After the message disappeared, I could see the station information, but no song titles and no audio. I could change stations, but still the same thing, station name was visible, but no song titles or audio. Tried rebooting it a couple of times to no avail. I then went to other sources, FM, AM, etc. So, then I figured it had to be an issue with Sirius.

I logged into my account and requested a refresh signal, which resolved the issue.

That is the first time I've had to do that.

Just got a recent software update pushed a week and a half ago, software version 25255_PRODUCT (Rev. 2094). Carplay loads lightning fast, but now the clock in my sync interface is perpetually wrong. If I try and toggle auto time updates, the whole system gets frozen and goes into a reboot loop - not clearing the rolling rocks/glowing bronco. Disconnecting the negative terminal only resolves this. Very much repeatable, and isolated to the clock setting toggle so thankfully it's just that corner of the OS that's buggy. No big deal on the clock, since I'm in carplay 100% of the time.

Anyone else experiencing this? 2022, 8in. screen basic non-nav infotainment.

Funny, I got the update, but a couple of days ago I got a blank screen while driving. No messages, just a blank screen. When I put it in reverse, the screen came back on but then shut off after the gear was changed to Drive. Music was still playing but the buttons weren't working. Couldn't pause or turn off the the audio.
