Hummer EV in the wild

Saw my first new Hummer in the wild yesterday here around Houston.. down here for a few weeks. Oncoming traffic so no pic but the thing was YUGE.. I'm assuming they're driven by the same folks that are buying cyber trucks but maybe I'm painting with a broad brush

One of my neighbors has one. He owns or is the manger for the Chevy dealer here in town. I see him drive by most mornings on his way to work. Looks impressive, but it is still a Chevy and electric to boot.

Yeah I'd really like to stop and just look at one up close.. mostly out of horrified curiosity haha checks too many boxes in the "heck naw" category for me to ever be interested personally.

I’ve only seen them from a distance, but there are a handful around my area. At least from afar they look really cool. Very big, but I like the front end styling. Much better than I expected when I first heard about the Hummer being reborn as an EV.

Pretty much the same impression I got.. definitely caught my eye from a distance as it approached with sort of a "WTF is that?" sort of vibe until I realized what it was. Front end is pretty snazzy.. better so than a typical EV IMO

It’s actually a bit wider than my ‘09 H2 was, albeit a bit shorter.
The width for me was the biggest problem I had. Both on and off road.
But it was one of the nicest vehicles I’ve ever owned. A couch on wheels, yet as able off road as I ever needed. Traded for my F250 due to trans temps towing our RV.
Only vehicle I’ve ever had I regert selling.
Also, the only GMC I ever bought after my disaster of an S10 In ‘84.

I saw my first one just a few days ago. My wife saw it first and asked what it was. It was always a no-go for me due to the width alone.

One of my mom’s neighbors has one so I see them all the time. I’ve only ever seen them in white though haha. It is a good looking EV. But like others have said too massive and it’s a Chevy and an EV so no lol

If they had a 2-door version and turned the wheels 90 degrees, then it would probably be narrower than it currently is.
