How many dropped the tow? Made a difference?

Two door BL, 2.3 auto ,lux, roof rack. Dropped tow in January because I only needed a receiver so spending $595 for tow made no sense. Received build week and VIN ten days later. My BL sits in my garage with the Curt receiver I bought for $122 shipping and tax included. Ten minutes to bolt on. So I would have to say dropping tow aided in my acquisition.

Tow was dropped for me, so no idea. I now have a 4/25/2022 build week.

FWIW, my dealer told me there was a 2% installed 'tow package' rate for all new Broncos. It's now 0% as they can't get the chips.

I still think its dealer specific on the Tow. If your 3rd in line of the same build and drop Tow I am thinking if the first 2 don't drop then you get the bump during the next round.

I was wondering if I needlessly dropped the tow since I noticed that a lot of rigs are being built with that opton. I was wondering how many of you dropped the tow and if you believe that made a difference.

I'll sell you my OBX tow take off strut assemblies if you want tow that bad. Then it just comes down to the hitch & wiring for you.

The only thing I dropped was from MIC to ST back when they had major troubles with the tops production. We are getting our loaded BL, LUX, non sas, tow, 2.7 delivered in about a few weeks or so from the train holding yard in OKC. Res date 5/21. Build date 3/7/21. Built date was a few days later. They wanted me 2 drop the tow but I said . I don't think it made a difference, order what u want. We are all playing the same waiting game. The only other thing was that I had originally had the body colored HT but did want to wait til 2023, so that was the first thing that got changed.

I kept everything, including tow, except for the original modular top.
Ordered on 11/10, in production on 1/14, and built on 3/24.

jan 31 - tow removed
feb 28 - mod bumper removed
mar 4 - received VIN

Dropping the tow may not be the game changer that your hoping for. Orders have a lot to do with the dealer allocation and not as much from the options that you have. Good luck I have a OBX with almost every sin option on it and I am going to wait till I get what I want. Could be a 23 who knows?

I dropped Tow and one week later had a build week (5/2). I did however, keep many other constraints (MIC/Lux/Advanced 4x4, Leather). Coincidence? Don't know but I did not need the seven pin so I will add the tow at the dealer when it arrives.

I recently dropped the towing package out of desperation. I know full well that it probably doesn't make a difference. I see Broncos everywhere with the tow package, retail, dealer lots, doesn't matter.

But my 7/19 reservation has not budged, and I will not give up a hard top. So I'm either going to get a VIN soon or I'm going to switch my order to another four letter that doesn't start with F.

Dropping the tow made a difference for me, also I can get tow for my bronco at less than half what ford charges so it’s a win win

Adding a hitch is a far cry from the complex 7 pin wiring that Ford charges for.

I had exact same experience. Dropped immediately when I got the Ford email saying to remove it if I wanted to get Bronco faster and now have 5/23.

I dropped mine 1.5 months ago and then MIC 3 weeks ago...got a build date last week. Not sure if it was one or the other or both.
