Welcome to B6G. Are there other reasons why you haven't bought a Heritage edition? Seems like a color hasn't stopped others from purchasing a Bronco and had it wrapped or painted immediately. 🤷‍♂️
Thank you. Yes, there are other reasons like Covid delays, slow production ramp-up, a feeding frenzy, etc.. A wrap isn't durable enough for me and complete color change is a bit inauthentic. Not to mention to do it properly I believe would mean near total disassembly from the frame rails up... just a guess at this point.
AT this point I'd hang tight and see what 27 has to offer, usually we find out anywhere from August to October about future models which includes color options.
Thanks - Yes, waiting on 2027 model year announcements is part of the program. Don't see any way of getting an order in on the absolutely remote chance of being successful before then. Now, where I put that winning- lottery ticket... I'm sure it'll come to me just as soon as I get struck by lightning for the 4th time... in the same spot lol
When you come to grips with the fact that the Heritage Edition has nothing to do with heritage at all, but just another trim level, you'll be able to finally make that purchase and just enjoy your vehicle for what it is - a production 4x4 with great capability and accompanying quirks.
I get that, I already own a "retro" themed, styled, inspired, whatever Ford product. I'm hoping for a stablemate.

Dammit Ford get with the program... The germans do it why cant we. Porsche has their PTS program where you can get literally any color you want. Ive seen ferrari colors done. Granted thats about a $30k option or more.
This is Ferds version:

I recall a post awhile back about Chinese market Broncos where they showed a lighter green color with a white top and grill. I would love that combo.
Yes the China market Heritage (they call it the Bronco 1966) has this colour which, to me, is sublime (although I do love my AGM)

Hello -
I'm new to this forum and not yet a new generation Bronco owner... but I'm trying : )

After having waited for some time, like the initial announcement, I've had my eye on acquiring a new generation Bronco and in particular the Heritage edition. I've finally decided to take the plunge but discovering exterior color options are sorely limited and worse yet, even my 3rd choice color has been discontinued! Argggg! So far there appears to be no way me, as a consumer, can actually purchase what I want (see attached). From my perspective how can Ford NOT build this? Dark Moss or Dark Ivy Green (don't say DHG) were standard colors on the Bronco back in the day and fits perfectly with the Heritage theme. I suspect others perhaps share that thought... or not.

My question at this point is, does anyone know anyone that might have the lobbying juice to get one or more built? An exec, a large volume dealer, etc.? Has anyone heard of anyone who's gone down that road resulting in success? I'm willing to lead the charge if there's a viable path forward.

Thanks for any/all responses... flames cheerfully ignored : )

(p.s. I told ChatGpt to use Sierra Green Metallic, which I've found it flops brown - ng for me) but rendered in roughly Dark Ivy (don't say DHG) which really what I'm after.)

Your comment is 100,000 percent correct.
The good colors have been discontinued, and this fact is particularly noticeable with the Heritage Edition (HE) trim.
I bought a Race Red HE in 2024, not knowing the Bronco's best red would be discontinued for MY2025.
I also bought a Robins Egg Blue HE in 2025, not knowing it would be discontinued for MY2026.
You may have noticed that the Bronco color choices have shifted to the pickup truck colors. That obviously doesn't work out well.

If you really want to lobby a color, buy your Bronco and have it custom painted. You will be the envy of all. Ford will have no choice but to adopt the color. To image that Ford would build just one or two custom color vehicles on request at a the same price as a mass produced one is just ridiculous.
I'm not sure I suggested Ford build one just for me, though I'm not opposed, as I think they should make it part of the available exterior color palate. Greyscale doesn't cut it for me and all the red cars I would own/drive start with Ferrari or Mercedes. But thanks.

Yes, someone may know someone who knows someone else who may, with the foresight of hindsight, have a way to get done that very thing that is needed BUT it will cost something greater than $999,999 and less than $1,000,001 in the sum that will fit in a freezer of the said someone else when wrapped in four layers of Saran (or Cling) Wrap for the said job of kidnapping lobbying that which can effect the change that the party involved would wish to occur but not to exceed the stated goal forthwith. 💰 👋 😁

If you’re looking for “authentic” I’m not sure a faux retro appearance package on a new high-tech vehicle is a great place to start.

If exterior color is that important to you, paint it. It gets done without total disassembly all the time. Pain in the ass, but it’s only money!

Retiring colors is a proven tactic, it helps gets buyers who are close to buying but won't commit. If you threaten to retire something that they like, for a lot its color, it helps to get them to move. "What if my color won't be available next year?"

I don't like the trend of companies retiring colors so fast, my favorite color that Ford has produced is Galaxy Blue and they retired that color on the very first Bronco. Jeep did it with the turquoise that was only available on the Rubicon.

Having to wrap the car is probably best for paint longevity, the wrap protects it.

More ChatGpt sorcery so as to memorialize on the off chance someone at Ford sees and gets a bug... and not the Cyclosporiasis variety : ) Funny about what details are altered or left out. I think it would look pretty sharp. Not to the taste of others - I understand, no need to comment.

I previously mentioned something similar to this. All Ford would have to do is pull a number of Broncos off the line after the body/parts had been primered. Offer said Bronco as part of the ordering process. Upon delivery take your Bronco to the body shop of your choice and get it painted.
