Has anyone experienced their horn changing to a higher pitched tone out of nowhere? I’ve got a ‘23 4dr Badsquatch. I hit the horn twice while driving and the first tone was the normal tone that it’s had since purchasing, but the very next immediate tone was higher, and now it’s stuck at this higher pitched tone. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response. Didn’t realize that. Tried a search on the forums first but nothing came up for me. I’ll check to see if the connection is faulty and take to the dealer if I can’t figure it out.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

The horns themselves are directly behind each headlight, but I am guessing they go thru some CANBUS/relay to be actuated.

Yes! My apologies. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire horn under warranty. It is a two tone horn, and the low tone malfunctioned and would no longer fire, resulting in only the high pitched horn firing.

Was it an intrusive fix? Did they have to remove many parts to get to it? I think I have the same issue…

Not to my knowledge no. It was a quick fix but they had to order the horn. I honestly don’t know what they may have had to remove to replace it. I had other work done at the same time. Sorry I don’t have more info for you. Seems like a pretty easy thing.
