Anyone else experience this? Last night when driving through heavy rain, a car slightly ahead of me and in a different lane hit a large pool of water which sprayed my windshield pretty hard.

Shortly after that, the same car quickly cut in front of me, so I hit the horn. I noticed that it initially sounded normal, but then the low note of the horn stopped. Since then, it has only sounded the high note.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've only got about 3000 miles on it (2024 OBX 2.7L), so I find it odd that the horn is already on the fritz after such a short time.

Is there any other issues I should be looking at after having such a large amount of water dousing the front end of the Bronco? Everything inside stayed dry and is working normally as far as I can tell

Your Bronco probably just got scared. Some guys get a high voice when that happens.

Seriously though, I suppose it could have been a water-related short, or the water was a coincidence and the horn was gonna go regardless. I would check the wires for the horn and be sure they don’t look chewed on or melted. I have no idea if there is a fuse for that but it would be the next thing I would check.

One of my horns also died and had to be replaced. The dual tone sounds good but if it's only one working, it's just not right.

🤣🤣🤣 Yeah that happens to the best of us lol

I tried it again this morning after giving everything time to dry, still no low tone. I figured I'd do some basic troubleshooting and mention the issue when I take it in for the first oil change, but wanted to check here to see if anyone has had similar issues too. Thanks!

Agreed, it sounds pretty goofy, especially when only the high note (of the two) is working
