My wife keeps hitting her knee on the side zone/marker lights. She had no idea until I pointed out to her that she was lighting up cars on her right when driving slow.

Same. I'm a 5'7" small female and I hit mine with my right knee twice in one day. Granted I have the seat almost all the way up so I can reach the pedals. But still.... It's a bad spot for the switch. Still, it's not as bad as the parking break location.
