That's NOT the 'capable' bumper. It's the modular. Confused.
Yes it seems you are confused.... That appears to be the exact same bumper I have which happens to be stamped on the inside "congratulations on ponying up for a more capable bumper". It also is not "modular" with removable end caps and prethreaded holes for accessories.

I just installed the rough county hidden winch on my v6 Bronco with the capable bumper. 0 problems and didn’t have to force anything or cut anything to make it fit. I didn’t even need the included spacers. Did I miss something or why does Rough Country say it won’t work on Broncos with the capable bumper?

You need a fairlead or you will be cutting off your winch rope with those sharp edges. Trust me, breaking a winch rope amid recovery is a dangerous game!

It’s the capable, if I had the modular I would already have the safari on. Still mad no one makes that for this bumper yet(that looks good!)

It seems they actually made the 'capable' bumper, which was INcapable of anything, actually capable!! Sorry for confusion.

Do you have a side profile view? How much did this effect the approach angle? I'm trying to decide whether to go this route or try and buy a used modular bumper + Rough Country High Winch Mount. I'd like to keep the winch as high as possible.
Have you looked into lobo hidden winch? I was short on money with everything else I had to buy for this trip, but if I wasn’t on a deadline I would have bought that one for sure. It’s a US company that makes it all I house. Solid design and has a better approach angle than

the factory skid plate.

What winch did you go with to tuck in there?

You didn't have to cut the so called "frame extension" boxes off? Every video I have seen says those boxes have to be cut off and the welds ground down...!?

I should have said cut off anything extra lol
I followed the instructions and didn’t have any issues. It’s odd that RC says it won’t fit and just wanted to make sure i wasn’t missing something

I was worried about it at first, but the hidden winch looks so clean and I don’t have to move the camera, parking sensors, or crash avoidance system.

totally worth it
