I did it in my garage on the floor. I did use a floor jack to lift and hold the winch and bracket while I bolted it to the frame. I was able to cut it off with a sawzall.

With the Superwinch I did have to relocate the Controller. Superwinch makes a mount that relocates it up in the engine bay. So far it's held up.

I bought some brackets online and then had todo some bending to make them work. That is the nomadic 4 from OVS.

Last year we loaded up the Bronco and went on a 10 day 3000+ mile trip. As you can see once we got everyone and everything the rear was sagging quite a bit. Im wanting to see who has done either swap and what they think about it.

But that would be for any bronco with the V6 option, their website only says it wont fit the capable bumper

Thats what i was thinking of doing, but some manufactures dont want you to do that. Waiting to hear back superwinch

Am i overthinking things here? This does not seem ideal, it seems like there always going to be downward force on that fairlead. also seems like i cant top feed the winch. waiting to hear back from the manufacture on that

I was worried about it at first, but the hidden winch looks so clean and I don’t have to move the camera, parking sensors, or crash avoidance system. totally worth it

I should have said cut off anything extra lol I followed the instructions and didn’t have any issues. It’s odd that RC says it won’t fit and just wanted to make sure i wasn’t missing something

Have you looked into lobo hidden winch? I was short on money with everything else I had to buy for this trip, but if I wasn’t on a deadline I would have bought that one for sure. It’s a US company that makes it all I house. Solid design and has a better approach angle than the factory skid plate.

It’s the capable, if I had the modular I would already have the safari on. Still mad no one makes that for this bumper yet(that looks good!)

I think it’s sticks out more than stock, I wanted todo a Lobo hidden winch kit, but my budget was tight before the trip I’m taking this month. When this one breaks or the paint starts to fail I’ll be sure to go with the lobo.
