Ok so I am really struggling hoping you all can help. I am stuck between OBX 4 door, mod hard top, high package, leather trimmed seats, 2.7L and 4.27 OR Black Diamond, 4 door, sasquatch, 2.7, mod hard top, mid package

I would love to have OBX and sasquatch but cant afford all of that.

Someone help me make my decision PLEASE
The only thing I see here that won't be easy to remedy if you have buyers remorse is the high package. Pay more now to get the electronics, because those aren't easy to upgrade on modern vehicles. The rest can be modified in the aftermarket once you grow into your Bronco. OBX is your ride.

Your own work orders call them low skilled.
I would love to see where you got that, I think DSI knows what they are doing since doing lifts and custom upgrades is literally the only thing they do. these guys do good work and ford and we stand by them so don't try to insult or discredit them they work hard and are very competent and well trained

The questions are: how old are you- the OBX will be quieter! How much off road do you do? If a lot then the black diamond would be better. If not much the outerbanks will give a smoother ride.
Did you ask how old I am? Lmao. Because of my age I need a quieter vehicle? I'm just messing with ya. I am 42. I wont be doing hardly any off road. The occasional 4 wheel on the beach and trails.

Agreed. If you haven't already priced up a BL, you should. It seems to have everything you are looking for, MGV, aggressive stance & high package and is only $400 more than the build you spec'd. Non Sasq on the BL and assumed hardtop.

Ultimately, get what you want and don't listen to the those who think they are the Bronco gate keepers.

Spoken by a former VA Beach resident & ODU alum who needs to get back and visit already. ?
I have not looked at Badlands so I will check that out now!! Thank you. I was raised in Virginia Beach...Tallwood and also went to ODU.

Checked out Badlands with all the things I was going to get on OBX and it is 4,000 more than obx with high and squatch. I wish I could get MGV on the OBX ?

First of all, both are GREAT vehicles. I have to be that guy though as I have been there before with my girlfriend. Have you rode in or climbed in and out of a Jeep with 35" tires? It looks great in photos but is shocking in real life. Just like how photos of colors can be deceiving, photos of tires can be deceiving when it comes to tire size. You will really be lifting your legs up/climbing in and out with 35s. My GF liked the looks but once we got up close she immediately was content with 33s. This brings me to my next point, if you'd like the more aggresive look then perhaps take a peak at the Badlands, 2.7, mid package build. It's VERY capable and the tires are slightly bigger but not to the point of Sasquatch. Or simply go Outerbanks for the creature comforts and when you wear your tires out look at going an inch bigger. Best of luck!

Oh so you dont have to go squatch if you get Badlands because of the tires?

Unless you have to have 35's, forgo the Sasq on the BL. The suspensions are about the same (1/2" less lift on BL) and the 33's will still give you the aggressive look. The stock BL can go over and through just about anything you put in front of it. The 33's will probably have better road manners for a daily driver as well.

Edit. My wife who is 5'-3" daily drives our Jeep with 35's with no steps and she doesn't have an issue climbing in and out. But like the other poster said, you may want to actually take a look at a Jeep and try yourself.

it’s a preference thing. Badlands suspension and configuration is VERY similar to Sasquatch already: you essentially lose a slight lift and the larger tires. It’s a happy medium between daily driver and off-road beast when you got badlands 33 AT tires. The AT tires are also highly rated tires in the off-roading industry for capability and comfort. KO2s are great.

Lol I only ask the age question because years ago I bought a new Jeep. Loved it. But with slight hearing loss ( more in the right ear) and road noise- I could not hear my wife talking. I sold it after a year. But I still loved the feeling of driving around in that Jeep.

I have not been in a jeep with 35s. I am 5'1" too. Hmmm I may need to consider badlands and it may cost me slightly more but I will get MGV which I really want. What is your opinion on those 17 carbonized grey aluminum wheels? I would rather pay the extra 995 I think for the other ones.

Have you seen a real photo of the optional rims yet? I think they look great! The badlands has the grey grille and accents. Those rims match nicely. I was actually planning on buying those for mine as well. If you're 5'1 and you want squatch then I highly recommend two things.

1. Find a Jeep or pickup and go stand next to it. Don't just look at it from a far. Go up and literally stand next to it and take a peak at the door ledge.
2. Once you're standing next to it imagine lifting your legs up to get in. You will likely want a tube step or something to help you climb in. Otherwise you will be doing high knee lifts to just get inside every time.

Photos of the wheels you're asking about are below on the Area 51 Badlands....

I am leaning towards the BL w/33's too. At 5"1" 1 I think the 35's might get tiring without steps for you. My wife likes the bigger tires, but she does not like getting her legs dirty sliding out if the vehicle is to tall (her last company "car" was a 3/4 ton Dodge 4x4 w/33s) without steps. After looking at the BD w/32s and BL w/33s, it seems to be a good middle ground for every day live-ability, looks and capability for us.

The ones in the photo of the Area 51 actually appear to be the 17 black high gloss which are 995 more and those are the ones I like better than the carbonized gray painted

Unless I can find a similar aftermarket wheel (no luck thus far) I will opt for the optional BL beadlock capable wheels myself. I like the idea of a beauty ring that can be replaced or painted if it gets to dinged up on the trail.
