Was booked for Oct 2 (next week!) and found out not enough people signed up. Drat.

So I’m looking for contacts leads recommendations for another outfit I can sign up with. Better yet, if the Bronco instructors are sitting around, I’d gladly pay one of them cash (shhh…) to take me around one on one.

Thanks in advance! Dave in Lolo MT

Can’t help ya but hope it ends up being a great trip for you regardless. Moab is a great place and I bet there will be people who know people who can show you around

I went two weekends ago and the instructor we had was great. I’ll look to see if I can find the business card he gave me and send you the info.

My daughter and grand daughter went to Texas RoadEO. I highly recommend there, the people are so helpful. We had GREAT TIME and learned a few things.

Try this. She's excellent!! I think she's actually a guide for the OffRodeo event.

I can attest that the Moab OffRoadeo instructors get out on their days off. We encountered one while on Hells Revenge and he was very friendly.

If you're talking about the Official Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo on Moab on October 2nd, it is still on.

You gave me quite a scare since I am booked for that same day.

I just called the program headquarters at
888-260-5744 and they assured me that it's still happening.

Chuck Yarbrough was our instructor in Moab on 9/6. He runs raptoraddiction.com on the side. Let me know if you're interested and I'll forward his phone number. He advised/confirmed on some extra trails for us to do while we were there.

I talked to several other outfits down there and I’m out of luck. One of them even called the bronco school guys and confirmed they’re all busy anyhow.

I’ve also reached out to a local 4x4 club down there about hidden gems. So no school but we will have plenty of optiins

Sorry for the scare! I bought mine used so was part of the “Bring Your Own Bronco” program. More or less the same thing except I had to pay for it.

There are so many people there that make their living guiding, I would keep looking.

Also, there's so many trails there and so many of them that are popular I would choose ones that are at your skill level or just below and just show up, often you can just hook up with other folks

With the Lolo Pass to play around on? absolutely loved the parts I could handle in the F150 days and would go back in an instant to try the harder parts now; that was fun!

(but good luck on hooking up otherwise!)

There's so much info online these days, you should be able to select some trails and hit them on your own. I wouldn't let lack of a guide stop you.

My first time in Colorado pre-internet, I got a trail recommendation from someone walking to her FJ-40 in a parking lot. Somehow my girlfriend and I found the trailhead up in the mountains and had a great time off-roading. Ended up being one of our favorite trails over the years.
