OMG I did the flow master one to my Wildtrak before I sold it and it’s SOOOO BADDDDD under throttle.

sounds like a huge fart 💨 no exaggeration.

I tried convincing myself it was good, in hindsight it absolutely wasn’t. Pretty awful actually.
I know this isn’t helpful but I saw a Braptor accelerate hard not long ago. It was impressively quick but the exhaust note sounded like garbage. Hopefully aftermarket. I thought of the modded exhausts on crappy older Civics that guys are trying to pass off as street racers.

Agree with most others - I have the Flowmaster Outlaw and it was fun in the early months and now is getting annoying but at least it was cheap.

I've been looking for the quietest high-clearance option to move the muffler from the rear to under the truck, with the goal of installing the Raptor tow hitch and supporting braces that need to live where the stock muffler resides.

I'm considering installing the Borla 400496 muffler under the truck along with the 60725 resonator above/behind the axle but it's a fair amount of money to drop if it'll be on the loud side of things.

Are you running the resonator on your wife's truck? Any drone on the highway?
No drone. Throaty sound when on the throttle, and barely louder than stock at steady highway speeds. Sounds really good at idle when I'm closing the gates behind it.

I'm sorry, but when people start talking about weight savings by switching exhausts on a vehicle as heavy as a Bronco 🤷‍♂️

Even if you went with full titanium, it's making like a <1% difference in your vehicle weight.
Like throwing deck chairs off the Titanic.

That was my hope. Thanks for the response!

It surprises me the amount of people who've bought an aftermarket exhaust for their 4 or 6 cyl and exclaim to have taken it off because it sounds crappy or how they want to take it off because it's 'getting old'

It's always been known that whatever certain configuration of motor will generally always make the same kind of noise 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤦🏻‍♀️ if you didn't like how 4cyls/6cyls sounded when you were a kid.. or in the 90s.. or 10 years ago.. why in the world did you think you'd like how they sound now?

It's all pointless anyways.. the sound of exhaust is simply a byproduct.. it's 'waste'. Folks who want to be able to hear what their driving definitely have more caveman left in their blood than the folks who don't care.

It's all subjective anyhow, and it's extremely silly for folks to hold elitist point of views over pointless noise.. as anyone can say whatever else just sounds like crap.. doesn't make anyone actually correct... As opinions are inherently wrong.

Its a phenomenon that happens everywhere too.. the battle between 2 stroke & thumper guys.. thumper vs v-twin.. v-twin vs 4cyl street bikes, twin vs triple snowmobiles, i4 vs i6 vs v6 vs v8 vs v10 vs v12.. flat plane vs crossplane.. gas vs diesel.. alcohol vs fossil fuel.. single cam.. multi cam.. flat head vs modern..

Can't forget the Dorito motor folks too... Those wierdos don't think that anything sounds as good as a rotary spinning itself nearly fast enough to create it's own gravitational field.. especially multi rotor engines... And I'm pretty inclined to agree with them on that lol.

'4 cyls just sound like an angry Japan man screaming at a swarm of bees inside a giant coffee can'

'v6s sound like an old tractor wishing for death'

'v8s sound like the internalized struggle of a guy who requires a prescription to viagra'

Who fuckin cares 🤦🏻‍♀️ just drive your shit and be happy that your fellow brethren are happy with their own stuff.

Hhmm that’s odd. The raptors stock exhaust especially in sport mode are one of its greatest attributes. Oh well. Too bad sounded that way to you. I like it very much that is part of reason why I dumped the Wildtrak for Raptor. To each their own.

Caveman 🙋‍♂️. Did the RC. Yes it sounds like a civic. Yes it easy to swap out if I get sick of it. Yes, I love not seeing the monstrosity of the factory muffler

Caveman here too lol. I have the flowmaster outlaw delete on my 2.3. I like it. Cheapest one available when I bought it.

The lack of an exhaust manifold/header makes for a somewhat unique sound. Better than any civic I've heard.

Based on what I’m reading I guess I’m a cheapskate cave person.

Why buy these deletes instead of just pulling the muffler and running it as is? Well after driving an hour like that I noticed my plastic bumper seemed squishier so maybe hot exhaust isn’t good for plastic bumpers.

But now I ask: why not buy a 45 degree piece of pipe from auto zone? Is it that different from the deletes on the market?

Alright, I think it has come time to add an exhaust. I have been looking at muffler deletes. The 3 that I have been looking at are Red Rock, Flowmaster, or Rough Country. Not sure which one to get because they all do the same thing. So I am wondering if any of you have one of the 3 and which one should I purchase? A full catback exhaust system is not in my budget right now, so that is why I am looking at the muffler deletes.
Or maybe you could not do something dumb that only serves to annoy people while accomplishing nothing in the process.

The deletes all have a hanger to help support the back of the system, as well as getting the exit right back close to the bumper so there's no worries about fumes and shit leaking up into the cabin.
