Help me with muffler delete

Alright, I think it has come time to add an exhaust. I have been looking at muffler deletes. The 3 that I have been looking at are Red Rock, Flowmaster, or Rough Country. Not sure which one to get because they all do the same thing. So I am wondering if any of you have one of the 3 and which one should I purchase? A full catback exhaust system is not in my budget right now, so that is why I am looking at the muffler deletes.

OMG I did the flow master one to my Wildtrak before I sold it and it’s SOOOO BADDDDD under throttle.

sounds like a huge fart no exaggeration.

I tried convincing myself it was good, in hindsight it absolutely wasn’t. Pretty awful actually.

Do you have, or know any welding/muffler shops? They can probably do the delete cheaper than buying parts...??

Save your money. All aftermarket exhaust sound terrible on any turbocharged four or six cylinder.

I have the flowmaster. Sounds well enough, priced right too.

Beware, a Bronco owner who drives by my house regularly did something to his exhaust, and it sounds like some junker with a hole in the muffler. Maybe it's the delete. Sounds so bad it put me off exhaust changes for the time being, even though I want to get rid of the big stock muffler out back.

The other day I heard/saw a Cadillac that sounded like a Honda. Be careful what you do to your exhaust.

I did the RC delete on my 22 and it is most definitely louder at start up and under acceleration. No drone at highway speeds. It’s sounds like ok. Still trying to get used to it or convince myself as usually I have added full exhaust to my v8 trucks and this is missing half an engine. On the bright side it Was very easy to change out

Save your money. All aftermarket exhaust sound terrible on any turbocharged four or six cylinder.

My MRT axle-back has great sound, no drone & lets people know you have an engine vs. large fan.

I went through a few iterations of this, including ricer mode unfortunately - don’t take chances. Hold out for an axle back with one mid body muffler, you’ll be happy. They go on sale sometimes at holidays. Post a WTB / local pickup on this forum, people sell them cheap all the time - a guy in Jersey was practically giving one away last month.

Don't do it. There is a reason so many people are selling their used Bronco Exhausts - they all sound horrible. You can't make an American small displacement 6-cylinder turbo motor sound good. Nor would it even be desirable on a SUV! Put the money toward a 69 Camaro.

BTDT (‘68). Set off every car alarm in the apartment complex.

Still, with a 3” cat back setup and tail pipe dumping out just behind the rear driver wheel, I’m happy enough with the sound. But that’s also with an Injen setup which contributes to more breathing and other output characteristics.
