Help Identifying Mystery Retainer

This plastic retainer showed up on my front passenger side floor after I went wheeling with a friend. I'll be damned if I can figure out where it came from. I assume its an interior bit related to the front, but maybe a service tech accidentally dropped it and it came from somewhere else entirely. Any suggestions where to look? @Ducati1098?

You Sir are an all-star! Of course it wouldn't go back on threading, then pushing and threading and now its broken...but at least i can sleep soundly having that life mystery solved. Hard to see that hole under the dash in black carpet and the carpet had moved hiding the painted stud.
