Hey, my name is Chris and I am in the market this year for a Bronco 2 Door Badlands with the 2.7L V6, I actually visited one locally that had everything I wanted but due to a recall on the shocks they couldn't sell it to me. I noticed the Ford website is still showing the "Build Your Own" option for a 2024 Ford Bronco but they also show the 2025 "Build Your Own". Does this mean they're still producing 2024 MY Bronco's? I ask because I noticed Ford stopped offering the 2.7L V6 in the 2025 2 Door Badlands and I am concerned what's out on dealer lots is all that's left.

Ideally I wanted to wait a few more months to purchase so I can put even more cash down but Ford with their option list change, the recall and now possibly limited time to find a 2 Door with the equipment I want is making this purchasing experience really unpleasant. Thoughts? Thanks!

See if you can work a deal on the one they can't sell...the shocks will be fixed sooner or later. The dealer isn't going to want to have a 2024 taking up space on the lot. In the mean time you can save up some more cash as you said.

Well I was going to call them up and offer to pay them a couple thousand dollars to put a sold sticker on it, have them just call me up to complete the sale when the shocks are installed. I told them the longer it takes, the more time I have to put cash aside for a larger down payment. I thought about it for a week and this still seems like a good idea.

I drove a 4 door with the 2.7L and I thought it was a lot of fun but I rather have a 2 Door, its easier to get into tighter spaces and it looks better IMO.

They are not still producing 2024s, but they have many to sell.
There are late '24 built Badlands that aren't subject to the recall out there to be bought, if you want to find that specifically. The recall only covers up to the first half of 2024.
This would be highly unusual, but maybe you could source takeoff shocks? If you can find a set not subject to the recall, you're golden. I believe spring rate varies with engine and door count, maybe even trim level, but the shocks themselves should be the same.
Alternatively, maybe you can convince the dealer to put on some aftermarket shocks or coilovers for you. Some can reuse factory springs and I believe the recall only covers the shock absorber.

Figured as much. Dealers gotta be in a tight spot right now, that's a huge recall.

Yeah I just heard back from the dealer and this is what I was told, they can't even reserve the vehicle for me with a down payment in cash because the incentives will be different by then.

They said I would be called back and they would be ready to process the paperwork soon as the parts are installed.

So this is a real bummer, they do have two of them at least but the one in blue is the one I want.

That I may consider since the price with current insensitives is better than I expected, so I am not only worried someone is going to snatch it up before me but that the price will be higher if I finally get a chance to buy.

I wonder if you could talk the dealer into installing the Ford Performance coilovers which would solve the recall issue but it would lift the truck. Is it a Badlands Sas?

You are pretty much stuck until they can swap the shocks out. I got my '24 literally right before the recall, I think a week after I bought my '24 the recall notice arrived. The other option is to look for a Wildtrak since they use Fox shocks or a low mileage used '23 or '24 2dr. I don't think I'd worry about the incentives to much, I'm sure Ford will probably extend them or perhaps even better them, they know dealers can't sell these until the recall gets fixed.

I will have to look at the Wildtrack, I want the Badlands because it has the front/rear lockers on it standard without having to pay $6000 extra for the Sashquach Pkg, the auto 4WD mode, the rubberized floor/vinyl seats and the bash plates underneath. Beyond the electronics found in the mid package and the 2.7L V6 that's all I really want on the Bronco, consider how quickly they get very expensive.

As BRIDGEBLDR26 said, they can't release the vehicle until the recall is done which means in this case it won't be sold until the Bilstein rear shocks are replaced with the Bilstein shocks provided by Ford for the recall. Dealers cannot substitute no matter how much $$ you wave in front of them to replace the shocks with something else. I'm sure the dealer would be happy to swap the shocks for the Ford Performance coilovers AFTER they replace the rear Bilsteins with the recall Bilsteins.
