I can't speak to the Bronco myself as I am still waiting to buy but I owned 2 Ford's over the last 15 years which have been decent, however, after the considerable reading I have done on the subject the biggest quality/reliability issues are with the MIC hardtops on the Bronco. They seem to all...
Hey man, I started a thread a month ago discussing this, like you I wanted a 2-Door with the 2.7L and was deciding what trim would fit me best, I was also looking to hit a certain price point similar to yours.
I have since decided to go with a 2025 2-Door Badland with the 2.3L and painted top...
After the discussion here, that's where I am at, I will go for the 2.3L if the 2.7L models become impossible to find or too expensive. Sadly, I hear not only do the 2024's Bronco Badlands have a recall for the shocks but also the back up camera now, I don't mind waiting but by time they release...
Its also price/availability you have to take into consideration, especially now that Ford stopped offering the 2.7L in the 2 Door 2025 model unless you pony up $75,000 for a Stropp Edition...
Yeah the 4 Door I drove with the 2.7L impressed me with it's pick up and go, I figure it would be even more fun in the 2 door weighing a bit less and being a bit more nimbler.
I myself have experienced the 2.0L Ecoboost in my Ford Fusion, I figured this 2.3L in the Bronco is just a larger displacement version of that engine and over the last 200,000 miles I have been relatively happy with its performance. I am at the point if I lost my opportunity on the 2.7L V6 that...
Yeah looking at the figures and reviews, the 2.7L will be ideal for me if I can find it and at a reasonable price but that will be the aim if I can achieve it.
If I went with the 2.7L, I don't know how far down the performance upgrade rabbit hole I would go after the Ford Performance tune beyond a cold air intake and cat backs personally. Thanks for the offer, I might want to take you up on that.
I completely agree, I have been running these factors through my head the last couple of months tbh, I am just here to kick my thoughts around to other folks in the community to see if I am missing anything.
From what I am reading the Black Diamond should handle what I am looking to do but...
That's really great to hear, if you can make it through MOAB I think a Black Diamond can handle what we have here. I am open to upgrading the shocks down the road too after I am done making loan payments on mine.
Another thing I forgot to bring up on the pricing, my company offers the "Ford X-Plan Pricing" and "True Car Employee Auto Buying". I was going to provide this info to the dealer and see if this will help me on the overall pricing on the vehicle too.
I never used this before so I don't know...
If I was worried about racing to stoplights, I would get another Mustang, I drive fast but I let faster drivers go because I rather them pay the speeding tickets. 😁
I just feel if I don't get the V6 I may be disappointed in the Bronco's on road acceleration since my Mustang and Fusion kinda...
TBH, when my Fusion gets too old to keep maintaining (It will be at 200,000 miles in about 3 months) I am considering a Maverick since it's only 10 inches longer and a bit taller than it with close to the same fuel economy, more if I go with the hybrid but since most of my driving is highway I...
That's the thing, I don't plan on doing rock crawling, I don't even think much exist in the way of rock crawling in the Eastern US anyway. The closest I have been to rock crawling was driving a Wrangler along a river that had a bunch of stones along it. If it can handle that, unpaved roads, mud...
Yeah I am a bit of a lead foot and the car I am trading in is a Mustang, that's why I feel I would appreciate that extra power. In PA we have 87, 91, 93 and some spots have 94. The price jump to 91 is around 60 cents/gallon so that will add around $10 on top of every fill up, which I can swing...
That's why I am trying to avoid the SAS package and the Luxury Package on the Badlands, to get that lower price. The features found on the mid package and the standard features of the Badlands would satisfy me. I would ideally chose the SAS package tho if I got a Black Diamond.
As for...
