Does anyone know of any products to apply to the hard top to keep it looking its best? Maybe something to help cover and avoid abrasions?

Chemical Brothers VRP works really well. I use it on the top and the fenders.

Thanks for the warning.
Sorry, I just looked at your join date and see you are relatively new here. Some back story, way back when the first delivered Broncos were only a few months old, a member reported his MIC top started showing a snakeskin appearance and some bubbling/delaminating. A segment of the forum insisted it was because the OP stated he had waxed his hardtop. Fast forward a few months, and Ford issued a recall on early MIC hardtops due to poor construction which manifested as a snakeskin appearance and bubbling/delaminating. Obviously, the wax had nothing to do with it.

And so my post is actually helpful and not just insider sarcasm, from the owners manual:

Ceramic coat on mine has done well. Although I'm on my third hard top, so take it with a grain of salt. Ceramic coat is unrelated to my third hard top reason.

After a proper wash and decontamination with something like IPA mix or Carpro Eraser, I would use a product like Carpro DLUX which is a thick ceramic coating for wheels and plastics which should provide longer protection than ceramic coatings made for paint.

Thanks @BlueBronco for posting that. I just answered this in another thread

MIC top scratches very easy. My dealer did not listen to me. Be very careful what you use on it.

If the dealer did that to your roof, they need to buy you a new roof!

When I'm really detailing it being a black I use Adams Graphene Detailer, have it at Wally World now, make darn sure the surface is dry and cool or you'll have your work cut out for you on the paint side of things, use the residual on the rag to wipe the top and haven't had any issues. Chemical Guys makes a synthetic quick detailer that works awesome too. Everyone will have their favs, but this is what I use and like. Works awesome on paint and wipe the top with it too without issues.

I use a lot of products made by a company called The Last Coat but I am afraid to use anything that hasn’t been tried.

I use Turtle Wax "Wax and Dry" all over the MIC top and painted surfaces whenever I wash. Easy, fairly inexpensive, and keeps the water beading off in-between washes. If I get really ambitious I spray Griot's ceramic on the paint only.

Thanks for this heads up! I have a Heritage with the smooth, white-painted hardtop. Any particular spray waxes/detailers work better with that color or will the above detail sprays work just fine?
