Grill letter lights

I have a 2025 Outer Banks and would like to add the grill letter lights. On Ford accessories page some people said they won’t work on the Outer Banks and others say they will not. I would like to find out what others have to say. I would like the lights to follow the sequence when starting the Bronco, that is showing on the Putco website. Is this possible with the Ford ones sold on the accessories page. I do not have any empty accessory up lift switches. Suggestions?

There is a company on here: SPV parts (@SPVPARTS) that sells an adapter that connects to the headlights without cutting any wires. I use it for backlighting on my fog lights,
Give them a call, they are very helpful with questions and ship quickly.

You could also do a fuse tap for power. You could make any set of grill lights work on the OBX even without the accessory switches.

The Ford site has 2 front grill lettering light options - with and without the camera. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to use their lights. I have a 2025 Big Bend with no camera and had them install my letter lights and it's connected to one of my aux switches. I love them! Look at the @ORACLE Lighting back-lit lights - they also offer a neat startup sequencer. There were very few options when I got mine. They install individually and do not interfere with the Camera.

I looked at Oracle and Putco. Went with the Putco. Easy install and can change from white light to amber in less than a minute. Bought mine through 4x4TrucksLEDS. Included an add a fuse. Installed over a year ago. You do have to remove the grill and drill out current letters.

Heads up. The letters Ford sells do NOT have 2 brightness levels. They also connect to the upfitters. AND they don't have the animation startup sequence.

They are made by Putco but they are a different model. Putco is officially licensed by Ford and makes 2 versions of this kit. The BETTER kit I linked down below which has all the extra features.

I bought the ford version and took apart the wiring harness. The lights have the same wiring setup, with wires to customize color, brightness, etc depending on which wires are connected. For whatever reason, the ford version has half of the wires cut about a quarter inch from the lights and the harness only covers the two remaining wires.

I was able to splice together the cut wires to a spool I had and follow putcos installation guide to regain those features back.
