I looked at Oracle and Putco. Went with the Putco. Easy install and can change from white light to amber in less than a minute. Bought mine through 4x4TrucksLEDS. Included an add a fuse. Installed over a year ago. You do have to remove the grill and drill out current letters.
Add some sound deadening materials around the plastic trim attachments/pins/clips or it will rattle like crazy. At least that’s what happened when I added a speaker to the enclosure. I believe this is where the sub delete started. Ford was trying to push vehicles and didn’t have time to develop...
Had the same issue after installing a sub in the factory box. I found it was the plastic clips that attach the panel to the body. Instead of installing a bunch of sound deadening I only placed strips of it around the hole that the clip snaps in to the body and around the area where the clip...
Disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for 5 minutes then reconnect. I had the same thing happen. I found the answer online and it worked. I guess it must have something like a modem that needed to reset just like regular WiFi.
Technically I could since they sold it to me. But they could face pretty severe fines for selling it (not that I care or that affects me). However, my original deal was msrp no mark up, and now they gave me an extra 4000 to swap (plus giving me 2000 back in trade deal because of difference in...
Well, if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. Bought the WT Friday and today the dealer called and said that it was involve in the seatbelt latch safety recall and they needed me to bring it back. I checked NSTSB website and the vin showed up. Man, am I P.O.ed. Had a couple of...
Just happened to me less than 24 hrs after picking up brand new WT. Was doing about 25 mph and slowing down to make a right hand turn. Brake warning system alerted and the brake pedal went to mush. I pumped the brakes and it went back to normal. Will be back at the dealer Monday for...
Going with the WT. Tough decision. I just know how I would feel if I bought the damaged one even after repair. Yes, the WT has a hard top which I’m okay with. After market soft tops are relatively cheaper if I decide to change someday. Plus, if I’m not happy with the purchase paying msrp, I...
I originally wanted a hard top, but ordered the soft top due to production constraints. The dealer has stated that it shouldn’t have to be reported. Shouldn’t and won’t are a big difference. I’m starting to lean towards the WT. Going back to look at it again this morning and make a decision.
We’ll, I’m at the point were I really don’t feel comfortable purchasing a new vehicle that already has damage (I will constantly have concerns about the paint till the time I sell it). I’m not really sold on the interior of the Wildtrak. I hate to lose price protection, but it might be a...
Just my luck. Badlands ordered in March arrived at the dealership with hail damage. The dealer will repair dings (about 30 or so) and replace the soft top. However they have a Wildtrak with a hardtop that they will sell me at msrp if I want it. Not sure which one to go with. I’m leaning toward...
