Interesting. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I just went out and checked. My 2024 WildTrak (11/24 build) has the damper, or is it that anything built after 12/24 does NOT have it?
Yes, anything built after 12/13/24, it was removed.

wow way better - that part is on Amazon and has a review that says it was used in a 24 Bronco with no issues.
No kidding:

And its actually only $6 on eBay:

I'll update the thread with whether or not it is actually a drop-in install, but either way this seems like a great resolution for anyone with a 2025+ bronco. $50+ is definitely crazy, but $6 with free shipping and I'm ending this annoyance in a heartbeat...

First; thank you, thank you, and thank you again for leaving the "en" out of "damper" ! 🙏

I see this mistake too much.

A damper dissipates kinetic energy from a mechanical system, usually in the form of heat.
A dampener just gets things wet.

Second; naw ... I can live without this glovebox thing. It seems more like a safety lanyard connection.
But, good info on a low-cost improvement here for those who do want it!

Hey so I just came across this video on getting behind the glove box, and theres a step where he unhooks the damper. However, when I went to do the same, I found that my glovebox does not have this at all! The mounting cutout/slot is there for it, but no actual damper:

Did they stop putting these on the glove box at some point? If I want one can I buy one somewhere?

Edit:

The dampers no longer come in Broncos (seriously Ford?), but you can get an F series damper for about $5-10 online and it should drop right in. For those who want to eliminate the bounce.
My '22 Black Diamond came with one. Standard trim package, who would have thought......

It's almost as bad as people who use 'irregardless" instead of "regardless".

Irregardless, I am glad that people have provided good and cheap fixes to the dampener issue.

Look behind your passenger side kick panel. I found mine there while I was replacing my kick panel speakers. I guess the worker was too lazy to install it but knew better to keep using them up. Lol
