yes, i do agree that the 3800 change on line 1 did make things louder. Now on to line 2 to make the update listed ( 727-01-02 ). For this to work best, do I have to revert the first line ( 727-01-01 ) back to its original state, or leave it at 3800? Working with a 2022 Bron, so this is a pain!

I may not directly answer your question as to the need to revert settings changes made on 727-01-01 but would say that after my own testing on a 2022 my final change only involved 727-01-02 to get full range to rear channel / aftermarket sub.

There are many online sources in which the AsBuilt options have been collected (google Ford AsBuilt Database) which have helped me to pull together the following information regarding options for 727-01-01 XX**-XXXX-XX (specifically the ** options) -

727-01-01 XX*X-XXXX-XX = Front Satellite Speakers / Speaker 1 Output

C=FSS Disabled, SO Non-Tweeter Only
D=FSS Disabled, SO Tweeter Only

This list is really some good info! I will give it a try tomorrow, changing to 0900. I will try with and without the changes already made to line 1. Maybe we will learn something from that as well!

Quick update for anybody interested. I made the line 2 change, and reset the first line to it's As Built setting. The chimes, etc became much louder as reported, and so did the overall volume. This includes the back, which is great! However, I did notice the sound becoming much more "tinny". Less dynamic, not sure how else to explain it. It was like, no matter how I adjusted the bass, treble, mid...... there was just very little good sound, just louder...

This eve, I am going to change line one to 3800, and keep the change in line 2. Hoping that it keeps it louder, and also makes the sound deeper and more dynamic...

If this works, then I will go in and make the change to the chimes, to only come from the instrument panel ,and not speakers!

What was the consensus? 3800 only still the way to go to "unlock" the rears and not die from chimes?

I’ve posted this video of the programming before.

For me, I don't think this particular install is a very practical placement for the sound bar. It simply hangs too low. Between the sound bar and rear 35" mounted tire, there is a limited rear view.

It seems everyone is trying to replace the 4" speakers in the pods. Has anyone tried mounting some 6.5's in the side panels above the wheel arches? That location would not take up any space. It seems counter productive to try and fight the limited capability of the 4" speakers. It would be interesting to hear how they would sound with the Forscan changes. I haven't made any changes to my stereo yet. I have been reading everyone's posts and thinking about what I may try with my build.

As if everyone isn’t confused enough….let me add to the discussion 😝

Just finished swapping all 4” to Alpine S-40S and the 6.5 to Kicker CS. Sound is definitely louder, clearer, and more mid and bass from all speakers except the rear 4” and they still sound limited despite trying 3800. Also, the occupancy thing isn’t there whether I put 900 or 901. None of these changes make and noticiable difference.
No changes have been made, EVER, to my ACM and no flashing done either. But check out my Forscan programming and explain these factory numbers…..3017? And the 900 on line 2 was already factory on my ‘21 Badlands Lux Squatch 2.7 ST with B&O, build date 8/31/21.

Thanks for posting your B&O as-builts. Now we just need someone w/ the soundbar flash to post there’s too.

I modeled new pods for the rear to house a 6x9 speaker. Basically drew something up based on a few measurements I took and eyeballed the rest.
Now I'm trying to get a hold of our 3d printer at work, but not too keen on staring down a 2-3 day print for something that could be way off in measurements.
But yeah, I'm looking to do something.

The BIL and I considered going with a cheap utv soundbar as well (making our own bracket to hold it). But 2 local Ford dealers knew nothing about the JBL flash, and the 3rd would only do if we bought the JBL soundbar from them. So we scratched that idea.

I know what you’re asking. I’m not an “audiophile”. My vehicle before this was a 2021 4Runner and I didn’t do anything to it audio wise. Prior to that was a 2019 F150 and again nothing done except a powered sub.

To give you some perspective my wife has a GMC Acadia Denali (2020) and we just finished a trip and took the Bronco to dinner. Her exact words were - your speakers suck.

Let me try to rephrase the JBL Soundbar. I put a $60 pair of speakers in the stock rear pods with some dynamat and they sounded better than the sound bar by a long shot. (Using the stock head unit to drive them).
after the flash for the jbl sound bar did you try the factory pods and see if there was a difference in sound before installing the other speakers?

So what's the consensus on the settings for full range (on B&O if that matters)? Went with Focal ACX's for all the 4's and 6.5s, arrive today.

Difference I see between the B&O as built grid and the B&O w/ soundbar turned on that the 2 above provided is:

As Built B&O - 727-05-01 012A 006C 00CB
B&O w/ soundbar - 727-05-01 0012 006C 00B2
