So I'm trying to follow this thread here, but seeing 2 different options.
1. Use forscan and increase volume to rear speakers (in a nutshell from what I gather).
2. Get dealer to do the JBL soundbar flash and fully unlock rear speakers. Also this method would allow to add speakers in rear using rear wiring.

Does any of that sound correct?
That is correct,I don't know how to use forscan though.

Any of you rear speaker nuts think about installing a resistor in parallel to reduce your speaker ohms to 2 ohms from 4 ohms
No. Mine already run 3 ohms. I get enough output. Prob is its only magnifying shit sound.

I Brought my bronco to the dealer yesterday in Plattsburgh New York they tried to configure the rear speakers with the sound bar and it didn’t change the audio there must be software in the soundbar that allows it to be fully unlocked They Were really surprised with the amount of sound that comes out of the rear speakers

@flip loaded the software to his Bronco without the sound bar being present. I don't think the sound bar is needed to flash the updated file.

Are you still running stock speakers?

A little while back on this thread someone mentioned that the sound bar mod doesn't work on '22 models, just '21. Do you have a '22?

Not sure if this has been discussed, but do the stock rear speakers get removed? This would really help free up some more storage height on my 2 dr. , and putting the sound bar up high like you did.

I went to get an oil change today and asked them to do the JBL soundbar flash (without the soundbar installed) while I was there. They originally said they didn't want to do it without the soundbar, but when I explained the rears were severely limited and this was to get that function back..... they agreed to.

After the flash there was zero difference and I though that they maybe didn't follow the instructions. However, when I got home and replace the rear speakers with my kickers they did indeed have the lows.

If you do this you'll probably want some inline 300hz bass blockers. I'll prob run those on the rear and dash speakers with a JBL Bass Go Pro.

I was charged for 1 hour of labor for the flash. :/

This is why I asked Urbanranger94 if he had stock speakers still. I believe the stock speakers have filters on them as well as the software limiting output. The sound bar flash removes the software problem but the hardware filters remain.

Are there any plug-and-play replacement speakers? I would be fine replacing the speakers, but something about cutting wires in a brand new car really freaks me out.

I made adapters. I think you can buy them now too but I have purchased the connectors and pins a while back. I still haven't installed my speakers yet. Was hoping to tackle it this weekend

Just want to verify, your Bronco is a 2021 right? Reason I ask, is there have been a few mentions already that the dealers have been unable to do the flash procedure on 2022's.
