The way it works now, if you buy the 2 day subscription for FDRS, it will also include access to IDS. It will be $120 regardless of whether you use only one or the other or both.
Not that I would do this, because I don't need to risk my job, but since it's subscription based now couldn't I just give anyone my FMC login credentials and they would have access? Or is there something stopping that which I don't know about.
The AI will recognize the sign in from a different IP/MAC address and may ban the account. You may be able to get away with it for a bit, but it will catch it. I can tell you for sure it has happened to a few techs already that did this. Below is a message I got from someone who works in TAC (who remains anonymous on the forums he is on).

If you type VINs in FDRS without plugging into the vehicle, that will trigger a ban too. They do not allow this as they refer it as "remote diagnosis". Even that will get you banned.
I didn't renew my license when it expired. For what? I use FDRS to help other people. Now that I cannot do that anymore, there's no point. Every once in a while, I come across an issue where I need some files to help someone fix something and what used to take me 3 minutes to fix now takes me days or longer as I need to depend on someone to get the files for me.
I have other suspicions, but we've hijacked this thread as it is.
