Just got an email from Ford about a new off road series (looks like the Off Road Connect?).

https://broncooffroadeooutpost.com/

Looks like they only have Escondido Draw out in far west Texas. This is what the FAQ says about price:

How much does it cost to attend?
Bronco Outpost’s five-hour experience, which includes a guest, trail fees, lunch and expert instruction from our world-class Trail Guides costs $595 plus tax.

$595 seems SUPER steep for a half day trail ride. Plenty of off road groups you can ride with for free, and you can pack your own sack lunch for $10.
Yeah, I feel ya. Escondido Draw is also way the hell out there (Texas is vast and that is out there). I did the Off Road Connect for a similar price. I will say it is a quality event (the guides we had at Off Road Connect were excellent). I don't know Ford could do it for a lot less. Also, if you're looking to push it, probably not the place to be. But if you can afford it, and want to be out with some very responsible off roaders, it's a good deal.

The nearest one to me is 5.5 hours away. $600 for a half day ride in your own rig just does not seem realistic. The normal Off Rodeo is a full day, and you get to beat on Ford's Bronco, keeping yours in good shape.

Looking forward to seeing where the PNW one opens. While $595 isn't cheap, for us up here, it's still less than what it would cost to go to one of the 'free' Off-Roadeo locations.

Plus you get to go run, learn and test your own rig, not stuck with an automatic more-door!

the location in PA looks like they're primarily setup for ATV's.

should be very interesting in the much wider Broncos!

And SXSs. Lots of mud. I would rather wheel in other places in PA. But to each his own.

looks like plenty of opportunities to get stuck in the mud

the PA course description

"A guided, on-trail learning experience that combines the techniques and technology of an off-road trail drive, with the added opportunity for hands-on recovery training; including, understanding recovery points, soft/hard shackles, using recovery boards, and more."

Logistically, it would need to be mid-summer or when they could plan for it. September starts to get iffy. I don't know if they will, but it would probably need to be next year timing-wise.

The NC site is our local wheeling area. It's a National Forest, so no clue how they are going to work around the regular trail traffic. NC Broncos leads runs there for FREE on a regular basis. Vaughn Gitten Jr. helps with some of them. And I GUARANTEE the people in NC Broncos have WAY more experience on those trails than any of the Off-Roadeo guides. Don't get me wrong... I LOVED Of-Roadeo Moab, but this isn't a purpose-built trail system.

you don't think FOO isn't leveraging the locals for guiding?
the locals were certainly at the ford off-roader event i attended.
