Anyone know why they removed this feature?

I did my first oil change yesterday, and I've been trying to add the service record, and the app crashes every time. Has anyone suyccesfull done this recently (I'm using Android).

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Anyone else not seeing the option to add a service to your history? I see no button on the page to enter my recent oil change when I go to my service history on my iOS app and it was there 6 months ago as my “owner entry” shows. What am I missing?

The app has updated, and ford in there wonderful wisdom, saw fit to remove this option. Aren't updates usually designed to add or improve features, not delete them? You can however go online, log in to your ford account, and add your service records there. It takes some poking around, but not to hard to find.

When I try to add a service record online/ford website I get the message that says “oops, something went wrong, please try again later.”

As of now my vehicle records are notes in my phone.

Does anyone use an auto maintenance app to keep track of vehicle records?

This looks like an old thread so I’m guessing the feature isn’t coming back to the pass app ever.

this.

I know it was there on Android a month ago, but now it's not. Version 5.6.0, updated 9/25/24.

I really should - right now my method is an envelope in the glove box I toss the receipt for the materials in.

"app"? Whatever for. I get receipts. I put said receipts into the folder I have for my car, along with any recall or TSB information. When I want some info, I look in the folder.

Of course, I've lived here for 31 years. Keeping paper is not a problem.

I added a couple entries this weekend. It's finnicky. I got the oops message a few times. The trick seemed to be filling out the form quickly and not adding a lot of text to the notes box. I basically ended up checking the appropriate box (e.g., oil change) and in the notes box referencing the invoice number for the parts I bought from Rockauto or wherever.

The printing on a lot of receipts fade over time and become illegible.

if I get those kinds of receipts--those would be thermal printed pieces--I make a copy on my copier to go along with the original.

That being said, I have never seen an auto shop use anything that doesn't last 20+ years. I have old receipts still in my file cabinet from cars long gone*, and they're all easily readable.

*well, I did shred all the old Honda receipts. Fsck American Honda with a hot poker.

This is silly.
I cant think of anything more helpful than seeing a string of dealer entries that say "services performed (other)" or "Engine"
No mention of replacing the entire soft top due to it separating from the frame?
What am I paying for with this dumb app?
GPS? Its not like you dont have 500 GPS free apps available on your phone.
The took out the service records, the security alerts were taken out, and the updates section literaly tells you to go look in the truck to see what it was.
Add to that, the trails app got dumped.

What did they add?
A premium add on to be able to stream music? (phone already does it)
And Freakin alexa?
Like I want that stupid thing listening to me while im driving.

I get the feeling that either somebody at Ford always hated the idea of people using the pass app or this in some way is a lead in for advertisments to be shown to you while you drive.
