Ford has decided to remove "adding a service record" to your service history from FordPass on iOS and the website won't let me add a record either.

Gives a "Oops! Something went wrong adding your entry. Please refresh and try again later." error when you attempt to add a record on the website. I called customer relations and they said it is a feature that has been removed.

I feel this is terminally short sited by Ford and a feature I was really looking forward to using. Not to mention it cuts off a source of data from the marketing and engineering teams. "Why don't you use Ford for your vehicle service, Mr. Customer?" is just one of many things I can think of as why Ford should reinstate it.

I don't want to use VinWiki so I guess I will need to set-up something or just go back to the binder I have had for my other new vehicles.

I just tried it on mine. Works fine

All I can say is its coming. I might have gotten an incompetent CSR twice in a row, but 2 of them have stated it is being removed.

Just went through the iPhone app store and other people have commented the feature has been removed. Don't update your FordPass app.

With the add service option that looked like you could do it yourself and maintain proper warranty. Like a oil change for 30 bucks. Typical Ford bs to make more money and make it easier to deny warranty claims.

Can confirm, the new update removed it. I just updated mine, because I didn’t use that feature anyway.

Great. Looks like we're forced to can Fords busy customers service!

Wait, if I don't use this feature (which apparently no longer exists) they will not honor their own warranty?

I just found this out myself after I got serviced yesterday. Very disappointed. My service also didn’t make it into the Service History on Ford’s side of the app. Best not lose the paperwork now…

No, this feature has nothing to do with warranty coverage. All that’s being said is it could help verify maintenance for warranty coverage. It isn’t “needed”

I just signed up for the Fordpass about a week ago and I still know nothing much about it. But I did see people mention the "add record" thing and was going to look at it. But I wondered if I really would had used it?

I tend to just take paperwork (tire store or shop) and parts receipts with ODO, Date I did the work and anything else and put it in a binder or a plastic file envelope and call it a day.

I would rather receive a file of records than a digital one when buying a car. Yes, I know that it's just a convenience for the dealers to look up and Ford to see and I would still keep the paper, but in the end a file full of documentation holds up in court and is appreciated at the sale.

Really with our story, I'm thinking my Bronco should get a journal with the service records, notes on the upgrades added and any docs, delivery notes & original paperwork/window sticker(s). Notes on the journey getting my Broncos with the order sheets along with some of the swag, the desk calendar and such would be a pretty cool thing to add to the offering to the new owner.

Add to it some cool pics of the Bronco on it's travels in the wild with notes including dates & ODO and expand the record keeping with memories of a car's life and service; I intend to keep it for 20 years, or more.

Fords support of the Ford Pass App has been less than desirable. In the past, I used it quite a bit on my 2017 until they discontinued support a few years after I purchased the vehicle. I wouldn't be too surprised if in a few years they discontinue its functions on the Bronco too.
