My Bronco arrived finally after 2 years waiting. I have some back and forth regarding my financing, so I can't take delivery until tomorrow. I just went out to look at it and it was pretty disappointing. Some journalists praised the Outerbanks as "mini G-Wagon" or "alternative to Defender". Are they serious? The Quality of this truck is below any other vehicle I have ever owned. Ford Quality control must be either sleeping all day or they are not existing.

-First thing I noticed was that one of the door trims was completely out of place, I had to adjust and push it in place.
-The trim above the front bumper is not aligned with the rest of the body. I thought that is only with mine but I went around and all the Broncos on the lot had this misalignment. Some more, some less.
- On the same trim, there is scratch about 1.5 inch long (see picture).
- The hard top is a joke. Look at the pictures and look how it looks from inside. I don't know what they were smoking as they decided to build it the way they did. I know they had to come up with a quick solution to clean the mess from the first generation but what the heck is that?? Have the decency to paint it or cover it with something.
-What is this welding thing on the paint?
- In the interior portion there were all sort of scratches and dirt, didn't have the desire to look deeper since it was not detailed yet. Might be different after detailing.

The truck was not detailed yet and I am sure after detailing I will find more stuff once I take the time to look more in detail.

This is not the 20K dollar Maverick. This is a Bronco which has almost the same price as the Mercedes GLE. I guess it is the way it is and I hope @Ford Motor Company listens and will do something about it. Expect more from a truck which costs over 55k dollars.

I think I would point it out to the dealer asap. Looks like rust to me.
I think the body is aluminum? Looks like painted seam sealer to me.

Mine had a few minor (to me) blemishes. Forgot all about them as soon as I got behind the wheel. I'm typically very fanatical about these things even with my decade+ old daily drivers. But given the nature of this beast it won't stay perfect.

Fit and finish from the factory aside, you have a list of valid warrantable concerns the dealer should be able to take care of. Fit and finish, adjustments, poor panel alignments are legit conditions. That said, there're some things that have limited to no adjustment (rear tail light inner trim strips). The paint thing on the rocker is unacceptable and should've been caught on PDI. Personally, I'd suggest doing a good walk around with the salesman, write the issues down and take pics. with the intent to bring back for repairs in a couple months or so. I say couple months because I think it's a good idea to drive it for awhile and do a good shakedown so anything else that may settle does so. Slapping them together at the factory and throwing on a transport does not induce the same body stressors and vibrations real world driving does. We've found door corners rubbing the body after driving but no issues off the transport.

The other thing is the quality of assembly can vary by shift, line speed and day of the week (yes, it's still a thing). It's also possible there are stacked tolerance issues or misbuilt parts.

I agree with all of your points. PDI had not yet been performed, so the dealer had not yet had a chance to address any potential issues.

Agree, mine has a spot of it too that I need to take it in for. Really looks like a rust bubble st first glance. Passenger side lower forward corner of the door.

Yeah covid and it's effects are OVER. Nothing embodies this more than everyone getting their Broncos on time and in order of reservations. Stop living in the global supply chain issues and local labor force issues of the past

they don’t make Fords for people who want the quality of a Mercedes…
And there is no Mercedes capable of the off road level of the bronco at the bronco price point.

Body is steel, doors are aluminum, not sure about the hood, fr+rr fenders, gate is likely steel for strength or aluminum with a steel internal structure for spare.

And there is no Mercedes capable of the off road level of the bronco at the bronco price point.
G-wagon has front, center, and rear locking diffs. Tons of ground clearance courtesy of air suspension. No articulation and shit tires. Install good tires, don’t roll it, destroy a lot of painted parts and you would be shocked where a G-wagon can go.

Sorry, i was being sarcastic.(i don't know anyone that received a bronco on time) I was trying to point out that even though covid had passed, it has ramifications that affect the present and will extend into the foreseeable future. It's basically why history is taught in schools. Things affect things
