I’ll admit I bought a product described for 2021-2024 2.7L engines. I assumed (I know, I know) it would work for the 2025 2.7L.

Dealer tried to install and told me they got a message back saying it was incompatible. Does this sound accurate? Does the 2025 software update have to be pushed before this tuner will work for a 2025?

I may have a tuner for a 2021-2024 2.7L for sale for $500 later today! LOL!

Yep, 2025 is updated for both 2.7 and 2.3, not compatible w/ previous years. I could be wrong but I'm not aware of any software updates to make it compatible w/ 2025s.

Well, it says it fits a 2021-2024 model. If the 2025 2.7L was “tweaked”, would the 2024 CAI operate differently in a 2025?
As far as I know, there was no change to the 2.7 for 2025. But maybe I missed something.
I don’t think any part right now is going to 100% claim to work on a 2025 until it’s been tried though.

Yup, Ford has to update it for each new model year. MY22 and MY23 were pretty quick, but MY24 took until June or something (presumably because that was first year for the 3.0). With a new 2.3 out, it could take a bit.
