I finally got around to having the Ford Performance Method wheels installed. The Discount Tire store was not able to get the TPMS sensors to read. They said to take it to the dealer. Is it just a matter that they need some miles to wake up?

They should wake up after a few miles, at least my aftermarket sensors did. Were they provided w/ the wheels?

that store sucks, they have the tool if they need to be activated or learned.

Came with the wheels. From Ford you get 5 wheels and 5 sensors. Discount said their machine couldn't read/detect them.

I would assume FP would be ready to run, that's weird.

I've had it take as much as 15 minutes to start reading the new tire when doing a 5 tire rotation.

The aftermarket "pre-programmed" TPMS sensors I bought, were installed by Discount Tire, and automatically got recognized after a short time driving. I don't think Discount had to do anything on their part in terms of programming. Not sure how the OEM sensors work though.

I installed the ford methods with the new ford sensors and have no tpms issues. Not sure if my shop had to do anything or if they auto learn.

Strange. So the monitor on your screen showing zero? Low psi alert showing?

Still having the issue? Or did they finally wake up? The OEM TPMS take a few miles after rotations. The FP Methods I presume are the same. They do come with a scan tool, though, I'm not sure why.

Did your set include the programming device? The Ford Performance website says 5 sensors and programming device are included. My set was missing two of the sensors and the programming device. I had to follow up with Ford--they did send the missing parts promptly though.

Still haven't woken up. About 10 miles of driving so far.

Swing by the dealer to see if they have a scan tool. Guess the FP TPMS aren't like the OEM.

I have my set stacked in my house with the tires being shipped. So hopefully by next weekend, I'll have them mounted/balanced and ready to roll. I did receive the scan tool with my set and wasn't sure why. Now, I just have to hope the tool works.

I had the five sensors but no programing device. I will follow up on that.
Here is the link I noted, back when I ordered and had to follow up with Ford:
https://accessories.ford.com/2021-2024-bronco-17-x-85-method-wheel-kit-matte-gray-m1007km1785g

Clearly states "5 TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool". Ford did not dispute it and they sent missing items quickly.

If you didn't get the new updated center caps, ask for those too. I think the wheelset ships with these center caps now. No harm in asking.
