I just swapped a brand new set of takeoffs from a 2024 Badlands on my 2025 Big Bend. The takeoffs had TPMS sensors installed so I just bolted on the new tires and wheels. After 15miles or so, the TPMS fault light came on and the tire pressue monitor light remains on the dash. Do the sensors need to be programmed for my car? Is this something I can do or do I need to go to the dealer.

I know from Discount Tire installing the TPMS on my off road wheels, there are 2 hrtz frequencies. The TPMS in the wheels probably have the different frequencies. Sucks, but you’ll probably need to buy 5 new ones, including the spare if you got 5. If you have a Discount Tire by you, they can do it no problem.

I bought a set of OBX takeoffs once and was told the TPMS were included. They were not. I had the same issue that you have as soon as I installed them. Buyer beware. Had to get new sensors installed.

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve had a backup set of steelies and new sensors laying around until my Toyo AT3s were spent…turns out I’ll be a proud unexpected owner of a 2025 (my 21 was totaled) starting next week and this certainly would complicate things. Word is that the 2025s require a new part number for the sensors.

The MHz frequency that the TPMS use changed for MY25.

You will need to replace the sensors with new ones at the correct frequency.

When we bought new wheels and tires for our 24 the company sent the 433 mh Tpms. Ther sent a tool thar connected to the computer and were able to sync them. After syncing we used to cheap tool on Amazon to activate sensor during the tpms learning process.
