Nice pics, love the doggo!
Sounds like a fun trip!
Death Valley is such a beautiful place.
One minor nitpick, however...
You were not on i-95. You were on U.S. Highway (Route) 95. And while that highway does go through multiple states, it is not part of the 'interstate' freeway system which is...
I believe you're confusing two different plans, both offered by Granger.
What you pictured is from "Granger Warranty", and is a 3rd party extended warranty. It is NOT a Ford warranty.
Being a dealer, Granger Ford also sells Ford ESP, which is kind of like a warranty, but really is just...
I would agree, it sounds like the cellular modem in the vehicle has stopped working.
Pretty sure it's a dealer-only type of service, but should be under warranty.
No, an aftermarket hitch will not have any impact on transmission or drive train warranty. Towing improperly, or beyond rated capacity, may, but the hitch itself does not. Be aware that if you choose to have an aftermarket hitch installed, you may still need the dealer to 'activate' the module...
Congrats on the Tesla!
And congrats on taking over the Bronco. You may want 4, but 2 is the correct number of doors, so you should feel good about that!
Also, while its good to have a vision of where you want it to be, posting pics of what it currently looks like would be helpful.
35" tires...
A standard usb cd-r/rw drive is not really compatible with vehicles, as you've discovered. They are designed for pc data transfer. Even if it worked, you would find that even mild bumps on the road would disrupt the players ability to read the disc, causing skips or track resets.
There are...
A lot of good suggestions here!
One option that hasn't been mentioned...
For a clean, 'factory' looking installation, you could swap in a headlight switch that has the fog light option, then wire your lightbar to that.
Probably more work (& cost) than it's worth, but no drilling and looks...
If you will not be off roading, or at least not banging rocker panels on rocks, something like AMP or Rough Country will be fine.
If you think you might like to try some trails but are concerned about damage, then you want Rock Slide Engineering rails+steps.
If it's a known time frame where you will not need to be starting/moving the Bronco, consider disconnecting or removing the battery instead of a trickle charger. Then just put the battery on a charger the day before you will need to drive it.
I'd fill the tank and use Sta-bil or another...
You have multiple options -
Helm, Inc. is the official source. You can purchase a digital service manual on a locked usb drive.
Motorcraft Service online also has a subscription service where you can get access to the manual for a period of time.
Aside from those 2, there are several online...
Sounds like the motor has lost contact with the mechanism that controls the movement. I haven't been inside a Bronco door, but it's typically a rubber/plastic belt or cable between the motor and regulator, or a direct-drive w/ connecting gears (probably plastic).
Definitely a warranty fix, if...
Check the aux switches.
With the vehicle running, cycle each switch on/off to see if the override switch got wired there.
If no success, you'll need to crawl under your Bronco and do some investigating. Each step will have a motor assembly (some have 2 motors per step). That is the likely spot...
Welcome!
I don't think electric steps were a Ford option.
Do they have the Ford logo?
Have you looked for a label or part number on the underside?
When installed correctly, electric steps should have a manual override button. But it would be an add-on. Look closely along the bottom of the...
If I were in your shoes, I would be looking for a gently used Wildtrak. That gets you the sasquatch package (dual lockers, 35's) plus the Hoss 3 (Fox) suspension. The only thing you'd have to add would be a sway bar disconnect but, as mentioned, that is neither difficult nor all that expensive...
