After reading this thread I checked the heat in my 2 door BL sas lux. I felt a little warmth coming out under the dash but nothing under the seat. I took a closer look and see the vent but it’s totally covered in carpet. Do the two doors even have heat for the back seat?

No rear vents at all in the 2-door afaik. Ford has a cap over the two vents to the rear in the 2-door model. Part #18K358

Wow ! Kids will be bummed.
I wonder if cutting a hole in the carpet and vent cap would get some heat to the back seats?

People with the control are having the same issues of the floor heat not being strong enough and coming out of the windshield vents at the same time.

And they think it's a ducting issue as well. But I think it proves that it is not, it's just the system not shutting off the other vents properly. While someone with a base might not be able to replicate this process, I suspect it can still be helped if Ford pushes an update or whatever.

The process we're currently describing doesn't fix the floor heat issue, it only shows there is a way.
I noticed this this week. Blower on floor only and hardly anything coming out by my feet, but tons of air still blowing out all the defrost vents. Wtf Ford. Super frustrating

Maybe but you'd need to confirm all the intermediate pieces of trim exist, and I doubt Ford would supply unused pieces.

Ford could save some money by getting rid of some software engineers and go back to more knobs and buttons instead of computer control.
I hate to complain but these electronic glitches and gremlins in late model vehicles are really annoying.
Had the A/C on in the Bronco this summer and it blew cold on the driver’s side, hot, and I mean HOT, on the passenger side. Shut it off, waited, restarting it put it back to normal.
I love my Bronco but come on…

I totally agree, technology is nice to an extent, but why mess with something that's so simple and make it complicated with weak points?

Because electronics are cheaper than hydro/mechanical systems. They (the designers) don't really get a choice about this. It's a bean-counter decision.

If you haven't read it already, I heartily recommend https://www.amazon.com/Car-Guys-vs-Bean-Counters-ebook/dp/B004IYJEA6

It's a quick read and both sad and funny at the same time. Talks about how "car guys" lost control in automakers and so many decisions were being made by finance guys.

It takes a LONG TIME for automakers to "correct" really bad course decisions. My wife was a lifelong Ford customer and her family still is. When we needed to replace her Explorer in 2012-2013, she hated all the Ford products for 2 reasons.

1. the "bloat" in the vehicles. The latest Explorer was so much larger than her prior one. She didn't like how "ponderous" it drove compared to her model
2. All the center cluster stuff went electronic (Radio/infotainment, Climate control etc). She is a button and knob girl. Having to push on the exact point on a touchscreen to change the radio station drove her crazy. She had to take her eye off the road to do anything and she didn't like that.

It took a full generation if not more for Ford to reverse that decision and go back to knobs for a lot of things. The Bronco is a good balance IMO. Volume and Climate are all easily done with knobs and buttons and you can "feel your way" to them without looking.

I agree profit margins have taken the quality out of a lot of products, not just autos. Today’s vehicles are for the most part wonderful advancements but some things could be simplified.

Hi there. This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you with this airflow concern on my end.
Same issue here

Same experience. No airflow under rear seats. Took mine to the dealer. They had no clue whatsoever how to fix. They claimed to have contacted Ford hotline, who told them it was “characteristic” of the vehicle. Nonsense. Something is wrong.

I suspect Ford will be forced to address this sooner or later, once enough people experience the same problem.
My service advisor stated that this is how Ford engineers designed the hvac to work.

Lots of us. Do a search and you'll find several threads about this. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any solution for it…
The solution seems to be have the ambient air temperature sensor replaced, or at the very least re-programed. I was experiencing the same issue. I once had great floor heat, then lost it. The sensor had failed. Just received my bronco back from the dealer, they replaced the sensor and reset-relearned the base values, now I have a full temperature range and good air velocity in the footwells. If your sensor hasn't failed, have the dealer re-set the ranges and see if that helps.

I had my dealer look into no heat coming out on the floor. They reprogramed the hvac and compared it to another bronco and said that is the way it is designed. I put my hand under the dash and had very little air movement. I have plenty of air blowing out of A pillar but nothing out of driver side floor.
