Indeed. I haven’t yet tried this suggested fix, though:
I don't think you did.

electronically shut off all options (no feet, no chest, no windshield)
set fan to full speed
stroll through each degree setting until you hear the windshield and chest vents shut off, leaving only the feet.

when i do this, it is like a 3 degree range that varies with the outdoor temp.

I’ll give it a go after work. Thanks for the suggestion.

won't solve your problem, but it might identify the software problem that won't let us go full feet vents and therefore (hopefully) more flow to the rear vents

Were you closing the vents on the control panel or on the vents themselves?

Thanks
On the little thumb wheely bobs on the vents to force more air through to flip the whatever thing that has to close to direct air to the floor. Whatever you do, do not try to use a Belkin magsafe phone holder as the vents are wimpy, wimpy wimpy.

@Ford Motor Company is there a TSB issued yet to fix this problem? I did a 2.5 hr road trip three days ago in 1C temps, and my rear seat passenger was very cold. She could not feel any heat in the back unless I put the heat fully to the dash vents and the fan on max setting. We were roasting in the front.

Note there doesn’t feel like much floor-directed airflow in the front either when on full floor or auto settings, but the heat does make it into the front seat lower area. Zero airflow coming from the underseat vents to the rear in any setting.

Thank you.

Hi there. This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you with this airflow concern on my end.

Guys I've got confirmation on this thread: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/cold-feet-floor-heat.31841/page-4#post-1368019 that there is a way to trick the system to force all of the air only through the floor vents via the baffles. I think hope with more confirming Bronco owners we might be able to get Ford's attention and have them push a software update to help with the issue.

@Mean Red GT less thumbs up, more checking yours out to see if you can replicate

unless i just slammed the fact you don't have yours in your face....

Yeah don't have mine yet, but hopefully next week! 🤞 I'll definitely test this out when it gets here.

How does this apply to base Broncos that don't have the control? I think it's an issue with the ductwork or vent flaps, I don't think manipulating switches is going to correct it.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, correct me if I am!

People with the control are having the same issues of the floor heat not being strong enough and coming out of the windshield vents at the same time.

And they think it's a ducting issue as well. But I think it proves that it is not, it's just the system not shutting off the other vents properly. While someone with a base might not be able to replicate this process, I suspect it can still be helped if Ford pushes an update or whatever.

The process we're currently describing doesn't fix the floor heat issue, it only shows there is a way.

I have absolutely no heat on my feet (drivers seat). I looked under there and don't even see vents. So I don't know where the heat is going when I put it on just feet.

The tubing is easy to disconnect (I was fiddling with it when I was installing my Kicker Key amp). It may be easier for you to pop the cover under the steering wheel down (as if you were checking interior fuses) you can see the vent tube right there easily with that down. Make sure its properly connected to the above piece. If you are actually missing the tube there then that could also be your problem. I'm guessing it's probably just not connected right.

Thank you Jazer. I'll try this.
