I bought 2-3K worth of accessories while I waited for my Bronco to be built. I had so much invested, there was no way I was going to cancel my order 😆

I decide to wait until it was at least in built status to start ordering but I was one of the lucky few who had it two weeks after it was built and had not even received anything I had started to order yet. But now I sit and wait for warmer days for most of the items I have purchased since I want to learn to (plus save money) and attach/assemble the items myself. The only items I have actually added so far are the floor mats and cargo mat,
Tuesday my tow hitch and wiring get put on (that will be by the dealer). Then wait for warmth to add side graphics, hood deflector, sill plates, gear shade bimini, plastidip the bronco emblem and door bags are on their way.
Upcoming paychecks/tax money will allow for for purchase of SMS roof rack, tonneau cover (maybe), IAG struts preorder. And constantly finding more to want thanks to this forum!

I have the same problem and same build week!
I think what I have done is to ease my obsessive compulsiveness over waiting for the truck I have shifted my obsession to buying things for the truck. It seems to fill the hole pretty well, but at the same time, empties my pockets pretty well also.
I will say it has created another awesome thin to look forward to which is the actual modding of my truck. I literally have hours of mods to put on.
Hang on to my marbles for me please, I have to go talk with my therapist now.

I have been waiting for over a month now since my bronco left the plant. Obsessively tracking my bronco and reading this board every day has cost me a bunch of money in parts. I just keep opening threads, clicking on links, and thinking, “yeah, I need that.” With each passing broncoless day, my pile of boxes grows larger and my checking acct grows smaller. I really need this bronco to get here already. There’s still a bunch of crap I want that I would like to wait for the bronco before buying. I’ll probably be broke by then.

I know they won’t release it to me at the rail yard, but maybe they‘ll let me live in it after I’m homeless from buying bronco crap. I went in and paid for it the day it shipped, that feels like forever ago. I already have the damn license plates.
I, too, have the license plates I intend for the Bronco - they are currently on our old minivan that my daughter drives around town. Everybody asks her what RUFSTOCK means and why it is on the van...

I won't buy a single part until it's sitting in my driveway. You never know what could happen in between ordering and actual delivery. Would suck to have a stockpile of parts that you would have to unload at a loss.

And there is always the chance any of said parts might have a defect and you might end up being beyond a return window.

I contemplated this as well... The compressor and mount aren't scheduled to be shipped for another month, so I figured I had a bit of extra time. The other side of the equation is that I wait so long that supply runs out and I don't have the bits and bobbles to add when I get the truck.

I've spent well over a thousand on accessories as gifts for others who've taken delivery of their Bronco. But I've not spent a cent for myself. I'm frustrated by Ford's inability to build and deliver my ordered Bronco. I don't need to walk past a pile of accessories reminding me of the disappointment every day. When the Bronco is home, then I will consider scratching that itch to buy stuff that it doesn't "need".

I didn't think I would start hoarding parts before delivery:rolleyes:............ But anyway I did to the point where I thought I was jinxing myself on getting a Bronco. (delivery tomorrow!)

Bronco Script badge from Bronco Depot USA
Handles from Bartact
Shackles from Gear America
Stickerfab
Curt hitch
Set of Badlands optional wheels/tires from another 6G member.

So glad I bought the Bronco script badge early before Ford stepped in.

You guys and gals will be begging me for my parts when you have to wait three months + to get any in the near future. I'm not worried, I'll have my truck one way or the other and the only really expensive item are my RSE steps and they are covered.

That's nice, but I went with the Ford one - the accessories shop had a 15% off a few weeks ago and I bit on that...
I bought the JCR pre-runner a couple weeks ago. Just looked at it now and saw it went up another $100. People waiting for items will be paying more, that is for sure, at least for the next year or so until Bronco aftermarket catches up. Just looked at the RSE steps again too and they are up since I bought them and they were already a huge ticket item.

I was just thinking that about the badge yesterday. It's the forbidden fruit now.

I either have or have ordered…
  • center console molle panels from jcroffroad
  • Bronco script from broncodepot
  • Warning sticker covers, door cup protectors, door sill protectors, and trunk trim overlay from stickerfab
  • STIRRUP steps and BAM BYODR rail from AR
  • Miscellaneous parts to mount phone to rail
  • Gun holster and various molle connectors from Amazon
  • Custom bimini top from Gearshade
I want the following items on hand when I take delivery but I’ve waited until production starts (2/7 scheduled) to buy because I’m hoping for more options…
  • mudflaps (I’m looking at you Rok Blocs!)
  • Hood Lift struts (probably getting redline)
  • Ford rear cargo storage (I’m looking at you DeeZee!)
  • License plate mount for capable bumper

That was my thought as well, but once it got to the rail yard I did the buy M2M Door Pockets and the Redline Tuning hood struts (installed both yesterday the first full day of ownership)!
