Fixed roof Bronco

I bought my Bronco because I can remove the top. That said, I am fine with the extra ‘noise’ that it may create. It’s a Bronco, not a LandRover.

I had a Land Rover. The roof didn't come off, so I sold it to buy a Bronco.
What you are looking for is called a Defender or a 4Runner, depending on the budget.

I think you misunderstood my post. I’m more than content with my Bronco. Those wanting a ‘fixed roof’ and the accoutrements that come as long with it, are not the Bronco target audience.

Wife has one on her Jeep. It’s nice. It’s a touch louder on the highway than my Bronco hardtop. It is $$$, but it suits her needs.​

I don't take the top off here because I always miss that one day a year where it's not too hot or cold to do it. I would like to, but it's just not worth the hassle, so I don't really need a removable top. Conversely, I don't have any problems with my hard top, it's quiet and has given me zero problems that everyone else has, so I don't really need a fixed top either. Puts me squarely in the 6σ portion of the Bell curve and totally removed from the target audience.

You can get this same top on the new Defender as well, except Land Rover also lets you get it on the 2 door Defender 90, and its a $400 option to add it.

Well, im a bit surprised so far by the higher than expected number of people who would like a fixed roof.

But it still confirms that just like jeeps, most folks will buy the Bronco as a "convertible" toy more than for his awesome capabilities, no surprise here and nothing wrong with that!

Apart from the price, i really like the Defender, its a super capable, more polished truck.

Am i interested in a Defender and would i buy one? Maybe yes but it would have to be a 4 cylinder lower trim.

The fact is that im a Ford guy, and in stock form, my Badlands Sasquatch is probably more capable than a base Defender is, and at a lower price point.

Not knowing the Land Rover products that much, i presume i dont need half of the fancy stuff that the Defender gets vs the Bronco anyway.

My current truck with a fixed roof would be a winner.

I think there should be a fixed roof option or as a stand-alone trim. It would allow for a proper roof rack and increased weight capacity. I know there are options with aftermarket suppliers to address the short-comings. But anyone relying on the OEM rack/MIC top is misplacing their trust and confidence in the design. Dispersing the weight on plastic covered cardboard seems like a really bad idea and a bad gamble playing rooftop Jenga.

I know the Bronco II is the red-headed step-child in the Bronco family. But I'll be first in line if a Bronco body-on-frame with a fixed top is offered.
