@popo_patty

Excellent report, keep them coming. I'm heading down to San Felipe Baja with four F150 Raptors. Left Sacramento at 1:30am.

Awesome build. Just watched this rig go through the stage a while ago for introductions. Saw all 4 of the factory backed Raptors as well.

Live currently for those interested

Good luck! Looks great. Just finishing will be a remarkable feat in itself.

Yeah, 4-doors are more practical for daily life....but the 2-door is the essence of BRONCO!

Passed tech today. Doing some last minute team planning. I got added as an emergency backup driver haha. Things are getting real. Met the whole Ford Racing crew today. They were very impressed/supportive of what we are trying to accomplish.

@popo_patty that's awesome that you're a part of this. I hope his suspension works better in the choppy stuff than mine does, the soft springs and short wheelbase was a real hindrance on our NV trip.

Tomorrow is race day. It’s been an exhausting couple of days leading up as we navigate this incredible experience.
Team is ready and we are stoked. I’ll likely be MIA till the end of the race. Rad Media on IG will have a YouTube link to follow live feed from the race car.

A suggestion for next time, mount lights on roof. At racing speeds you want as long a throw as possible in order to spot potential issues as far ahead as you can.

You will outrun the throw on the bumper mounted lights.

They will probably cast some deceptive shadows as well. A 6" shallow could look like a 3' deep hole.

He is doing good so far. We are waiting in Santa Tomas for him to pass us before we move on to the first official pit. He won’t be going fast enough to overcome his lights throw and it’s too dusty for em so far anyway. Plus it’s gonna be some serious rain coming up

Hang in there, it looks brutal! If it makes you feel better, you're crushing the Ford Racing Ranger Raptor!

To have the initiative to pursue this effort is truly commendable.

To actually have the guts to pull it all together and cross the STARTING line is amazing.

To make it more than 3/4 of the way through and possibly finish this grueling test of man and machine in a first effort on a shoe string budget...in any amount of time...is beyond words.

I'm not sure what experience he (and the crew) has or how much was spent, but I'm sure it's a hellva lot less experience, seat time and money than factory sponsored race teams in a variety of different classes, many of which are probably broken on the trail somewhere.

:clap:
