That fake engine sound inside was one of the most annoying features of my Bronco. I was able to eliminate it with FORScan in the "As Built" ACM module under 727-01-01. The fix is xxxx-xxxx-0xxx. 1 is ESE on and 0 is ESE off. I can still barely hear the actual exhaust and that is what I want.

Is this a joke? Do the Broncos all have a fake engine sound for some ungodly reason now?

Edit: Looks like it's only with the Lux package with the B&O system. Well done Ford, well done...

They've had it since the beginning. It's supposedly "piped in" through the speakers, but I think only lux or upgraded packages.
You can disable it in forscan.
It's much more annoying if you upgrade your speakers, haha.

I don't think Bronco's have the fake engine sound thing, or as it was called on my old Focus ST a "Sound Symposer" lol

I think it went standard on all trims in MY24

Well, I know for sure my 24 had it, but it does not anymore.

I would give anything for some fake engine noise to drown out the shitty sounding four-cylinder and six cylinder engines.

You would probably have to find a custom program to get a fake V8 sound. When I want to listen to a V8, I drive my 69 Fairlane Cobra with the 428CJ engine. It does not need any help.

I have driven my 02 Ranger with the 4.0 SOHC V6 for over 300K miles. I have grown accustomed to the V6 sound and don't find it objectionable. There are some exhaust systems that do make the V6 sound odd though. I think inline 6 engines sound great.

Is this actually legit? I know someone said MY24…. But what years/trims is this on by default? Is there verification this is actually a thing?

So let me get this straight... Ford intentionally distorts the music coming through their expensive Bang & Olufsen sound system by piping in fake engine noise? Unbelievable. Most people who like music actually want engine noise reduced, not amplified. But maybe that's just me.

I commented on what I thought was a fake engine sound on my only test drive of a "New" Bronco so far. He said it wasn't fake.
I've driven several other used units and did not notice any fake noise in them.
