Team 2 Door for the win!Yeah, you're almost 100% correct.
It comes standard in the grocery getter, mall crawler, crumb snatcher Mordoors.
It's not available in the 2 Door. Thanks Ford!!!

Just forget you ever saw this. Ignorance is bliss.Well… shit. Thought my 22 BL Lux just sounded good. Maybe I’ve been bamboozled. I hate when companies do things like this without informing customers. Pretty sour taste about it, here. Ford customer support bot, care to chime in?
I am going to use it as a way to mock people silently in my head, when I give the uninitiated a ride, I will floor it and say "this thing sounds like a beast huh?" and silently comment what a moron they are when they agree.Just forget you ever saw this. Ignorance is bliss.
My Tundra has the fake engine noises for sure. I knew this when I bought it, as it's a hybrid model. People who have been in my truck have no idea it's a fake sound until I tell them. For better or worse it's fairly standard practice these days, particularly on the premium audio systems, but it's starting to become more universal.
First company that did it I think was BMW, but now we got Kia, Toyota, VW in their Audi products, Honda in their Acura products, General Motors in Cadillac products and the Corvette, Stellantis was exploring it in Dodge/Jeep products, Nissan does it in 370Z, Subaru does it the BRZ and some of the WRX models, etc. etc.
Believe it or not is more common in the performance/sport versions of vehicles than it is on the more "mass market" vehicles, because the people buying those performance models are the folks that care about the engine note the most.
Well I have a 1 in that position, so I guess I have it. Still have a hard time understanding I actually have some sort of exhaust enhancement in the cab. I have a Borla Touring climber and SPD downpipes, and I can't wait to try this in an attempt to quell some of the pissed off tones at WOT. Does this "enhance" the exhaust even if the radio off? That fake engine sound inside was one of the most annoying features of my Bronco. I was able to eliminate it with FORScan in the "As Built" ACM module under 727-01-01. The fix is xxxx-xxxx-0xxx. 1 is ESE on and 0 is ESE off. I can still barely hear the actual exhaust and that it what I want.
I think helping each other is what this forum is mostly about. I certainly have received more than given. Happy to have helped. This is a little funny but also a little Russian behavioral science-y. The first time I aggressively accelerated on the test drive of my Raptor, I said something to the salesperson about the unusual exhaust note. They attributed it to the tunable exhaust.
The exhaust note sounded slightly off and like it was not coming from the correct location. I asked if they shut the rear door completely. Ever since, under aggressive acceleration my head involuntarily turns a bit and my ears perk, trying to understand from where the noise is coming. Though I now feel like a Pavlov experiment, I am also happy to know it's not all in my head... well at least not this part.
Thanks for the settings @gbub, and the sliver of sanity.
Turning off the radio did not silence my "enhanced" exhaust sound.Well I have a 1 in that position, so I guess I have it. Gains on your amps are probably set incorrectly. Usually the cause of this issue (but not always).I just upgraded my stereo and the fake noise is extremely loud now, so are the door dongs and other beeps and alerts. When I connect I don't see an ACM module or "727" codes anywhere. Am I doing something wrong?
You must have the V6....? Because the 4 cylinder needs all the help it can get! That fake engine sound inside was one of the most annoying features of my Bronco.
