Unlikely in the extreme. EPA considers the gasoline tank a part of the emissions system. Any changes in those systems are driven by the OEM and retested, as I understand it.

Another reason to make a diesel Bronco. Diesel systems do not have the tank as part of the emissions systems.

My F150 is 36 gal and my Excursion is 44 gal so I'm spoiled with those.
