So I live in Nebraska, a wind hole where 20-30 mph winds are very common. Took the Bronco on its first road trip and ended up driving west on the interstate with a 20-30 mph cross wind coming directly out of the north.

Probably the most miserable drive I've ever had.

Driver window constantly popped open, pulling away a good quarter inch with wind noise so loud couldn't hear anything but. Stopped multiple times to reset window, kept happening. Ended up having to drive 2 hours with this nonsense. Thought the window was going to tear off with a few of the heavy gusts.

This is a game changer for me. I've had multiple frameless window vehicles and never experienced this. A few whistles during gusts but not the window pulling away and fluttering in the wind. Wind is not going anywhere but this Bronco sure will if this is the norm.

Has anyone had this happen? Is there a fix? Search only keeps bringing up the reset thing but that's not the issue. More like it needs to angle in more to catch the seal, or more up pressure at closing?

Here is a picture while driving.

Mine did this in the exact same scenario. I looked along the window edge to see where the window was barely catching the seal on the bronco (even compared it to the passenger side to see what the difference was between the two). I then rotated those sections downward on the seal itself (grabbed with a firm grip and twisted downward the best I could). The seal rotated enough that it hasn’t happened again in strong crosswind over last 7000 miles. I also did the whole window reset thing too.

Yes. My passenger window does this. So far I’ve not been able to find a local dealer or competent shop that claims to know how to remedy.

Took me 2 months to get an appt at a local dealer that “appears” to be polite & competent. I plan to ask them about it again.

I had the same thing happen, but my window came misadjusted from the factory, which in this case I guess was a good thing. It over-engages and gets caught on the overhanging strip every time I open the door, but that also prevented it from being pulled outward too far while driving.

Will give this a try first, thanks!

Here is a video that I used to fix the same issue.
Thanks, gives me a little hope there is some upward adjustment if messing around with the seal doesn't work.

Looking a little closer check out the difference in the open door down position, door just cracked open but still latched.

Then check out how the driver side windows are tilted a bit outward, a gap between the B pillar on the driver side Vs flush on passenger.

So shows me the window on driver front needs adjusting upwards, plus both need tilted inward. This is a Ford problem, going to call for a dealer appointment. Supposedly the Mustang has had same style window? Surely Ford techs have to have seen this before right?

Hi there. This window concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

I had the exact same thing happen to my bronco on the interstate between Cheyenne Wy and Fort Collins Co, where the crosswinds were between 65-75 mph. Since the window wouldn’t seal I had to roll it down further and hold onto it while driving to give it more stability and prevent it from breaking…..which was a bitch because the wind chill was about 8 degrees below zero. I pulled over a couple time and reseated it, but it just kept happening.. Then, last week the window wouldn’t drop properly when opening the door and wouldn’t go up at all when closing the door. It would seal if I manually opened then closed the window, but the one touch up and down function stopped working as well. I scheduled an appointment with Ford for next week, however, now it’s working fine again on its own. I’m keeping the appointment anyways.

I'm having the same issue. Brought it to the dealership twice to be fixed and they
don't know what to do. Loudest 5 hour ride ever.
